Historia
Twin sisters May and June couldn’t be more different. May is quiet, self-conscious, withdrawn; June is boisterous, beautiful, magnetic…and missing. It’s been a year since June disappeared, a year of May waiting for her to turn up with an explanation of where she’s been and why she left. But with the discovery of an old newspaper article comes a secret: their mother once vanished, too, on the same date when she was nineteen years old. Just like June.

This book had me guessing throughout. Every time I thought I had it figured out, I didn’t. Great listen.

Historia
For nearly four-hundred years, the Veil has protected us from the Fae of Alfheimr. In their absence, our lives have shifted from decadence and sin to survival and virtue under the guidance of the New Gods. I’ve spent my entire life tending to the gardens next to the boundary between our worlds, drawn to the shimmering magic like a moth to the flame. All of that changes the day the Veil shatters, unleashing the fae upon our world once again.

Performance was great but too much dirty talk
Revisado: 07-05-23
The story was interesting at times and I really wanted to know how it ended so I kept listening. There were way too many sex scenes for my liking. It took away from the story and wasted too much time. Especially the way the guy talked. “Little One” and all the arrogance made me want to skip to the end.

An Excellent Listen!
Revisado: 12-29-22
Not a “choose your own adventure”. Saw a lot of reviews of people getting frustrated that it wasn’t working but it’s not supposed to. It’s an intriguing short story that will keep you interested throughout. Great writing and great narration. Loved it!

Entertaining story but predictable
Revisado: 07-20-22
I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this but was a little bit frustrated by the predictability and forced dialogue. That being said it still held my interest throughout.

Fantastic book! Loved it!
Revisado: 07-05-22
I usually do not choose romance because of the all too perfect relationships they describe. But this… this is just wonderful. The mystery woven in with all the mushy bits kept me interested throughout. Surprisingly, the mushy bits also contained real life types of love explained in beautiful writing. I would definitely recommend this book.

Historia
In the near future, advances in medicine and quantum computing make human cloning a reality. For the wealthy, cheating death is the ultimate luxury. To anticloning militants, it’s an abomination against nature. For young Constance “Con” D’Arcy, who was gifted her own clone by her late aunt, it’s terrifying. After a routine monthly upload of her consciousness - stored for that inevitable transition - something goes wrong. When Con wakes up in the clinic, it’s eighteen months later. Her recent memories are missing. Her original, she’s told, is dead.
