Make this book a movie - immediately!

Such a fun book. Slightly absurd, but totally hilarious, storyline. Very clever! You can picture it as a movie as you listen.
Also, the narrator is brilliant! Very well done.

Good story, obnoxious narrator.

Did The Giver inspire you to do anything?
The narrator used an incredibly obnoxious, childish voice for the main character. I get that the main character is a 12 year old boy, but he was speaking like a 6 year old. Since this is the main character, it got old, fast!
While I enjoyed the story, I found myself relieved when it ended so I didn't have to listen to that any more. If I decide to pursue any sequels, it would be in print form only.
