The book took too long to wrap the story up. I almost put it down. It was a happy ending.

Characters, events and ending – all a perfect part of the story
Revisado: 09-15-22
Lisa Wingate sure knows how to build a story, create characters and structure a perfect ending! Sometimes I feel like jumping ahead in the story but she is in the process of building what’s needed. This was a wonderful book. I say that about all of her books. I read 1000 voices a few years ago not knowing it was a part of a series. I’m eager to start it again now to see Dell from a different perspective. The narration was excellent.

Historia
Twenty-one-year-old Jenilee Lane's dreams are as narrow as the sky is wide. She doesn't imagine any good could come out of the tornado that has ripped across the Missouri farmland where she's made her home. But some inner spark compels her to take action. To rescue her elderly neighbor, Eudora Gibson, from the cellar in which she's been trapped. To make her way to the nearby town of Poetry, where the townspeople have begun to gather in the only building left standing. To collect from the devastated landscape fragments of life that lie strewn about in the tornado's wake.

The distraction of a tornado was the focus of this book. It produced so much good in the lives of the characters. A wonderful story. The narrator was outstanding! I highly recommend this book.

Worth the listen
Revisado: 07-09-22
There were times that the story seemed to get bogged down but it was worth hearing through it all. I like Tracy Rees as an author. She develops her characters very well and makes complicated stories. It’s a good listen.

Heartwarming and wonderful
Revisado: 01-24-20
My dad and my mother-in-law age died as a result of Alzheimer’s. I have worked As a volunteer bringing A short devotional with singing in a nursing facility. Now my husband of almost 50 years and I are headed down the long road of aging. We each experience some memory loss and wonder if we have Alzheimer’s. Having lost my mother to congestive heart failure and watching her slowly die from mini strokes , there were so many areas that I could identify within your book from my past experiences. Thank you for writing your book. I will recommend it to my daughters and my friends. I truly enjoyed hearing about your journey.
