The narration was amazeballs and the story itself was super fun! I was hesitant to listen just because the first review I saw was pretty bad, but I tried anyways and it was so flipping good. It is a fun story with an older FMC and an interesting plot. I cannot wait till more is released. It didn’t end on a crazy cliffhanger and nothing about this read was too intense. It is truly a feel good listen!

This one is just a bit heavier than the other short stories in this series. They can all be read as standalone, but two others are part of the cute world of Chancellor.
This book has a HEA but some angst and sadness in between. I’d suggest reading it in between the other two just because this one makes me cry.

All in all great narration and a lovely magical story.

This story is so sweet. If you want a quick feel good listen or need a palate cleanser after an intense book or series then this is a great pick. I want to read the rest of the series now, but it can be a standalone as well.

Narrators did a great job.

The narration of this book is perfection.

Piper is put through the emotional ringer in this book. She is full of guilt, anger, and regret. She is full of longing for what she knows she can’t have and that blinds her to what she has in front of her for some of this book. It’s a storyline of growth and it’s raw. The narration matches that perfectly.

I’m interested to read book two and listen to it once the audio releases. I was left with many questions. What is going on with Bri? Part of me wants to dislike her, but another part is asking if her actions are her own. The new character at the end has me wondering what will happen next. Ronan is supposed to be this mega powerful being. He is the Harvester and it is mentioned over and over how easily he can annihilate someone so I’m confused as to how he and Piper are continually put into such precarious positions. Pipers new development and the end of this book was surprising and I am interested in reading how her new knowledge impacts her actions when faced with this new threat.

Ahhhhhh Lily!!! Poor Selena . The narration of this last book of Selena’s story was perfection. Stacey G did a marvelous job conveying the rawness of Selena’s feelings - grief, love, anger, hopelessness. I cried for everything she had to go through. This series is one of my favorites. It just hits me right in the soul. The narration will not disappoint and the story arch is phenomenal.

I cannot stress enough how much I love this series. I have reread it a hundreds of times, but listening to it is magnificent. Stacey does an amazing job narrating. Her voice is Selena. It’s hard and unwielding, but has so much depth that those moments of emotion we get from Selena are truly felt by the listener.

The theme of this book is acceptance. Selena starts to accept all the parts of herself in this book while Alex and Blair struggle to do the same. There is a s a lot of action and finally some romance. We get answers about Selena’s family and are left with more questions. I cannot wait for the next book to release audio.

Savannah and Adam are sooooo good narrating the book. Savannah continues to do a wonderful job portraying Piper. Piper’s cold demeanor and indifference to any situation that doesn’t threaten someone she is loyal to (mainly Bri and Nat) is so clear throughout the book. We hear bits of emotion only in situations in which Piper is interacting with or actively trying to protect Nat and Bri AND in those situations where she is trying to protect herself from Ronan. Every other situation the narration is perfectly cold with a take no prisoners attitude. Adam’s voice as Ronan is chill inducing... yum. They are the perfect duet to narrate this story.

Piper and Nat grow as characters on their own and within their friendship as well. Nat definitely reveals her grit in this book. The fun little twist with Bri was interesting and has left me anxiously waiting for book 3.

More secrets....Some answers. The narration was good but when she said a chapter it pulled me out of the story. It was a bit robotic. The narration for everything else was good. Remi was extra whiny in this book. It really bothered me that she acted like a toddler. Some secrets being revealed helped move the story along. I want to know all the answers so I will read the next book.

Yes! The narration was perfect! Savannah and Adam did amazing with Piper and Ronan along with all the other characters. The various characters were distinguishable and each had their own personality expressed through the narration.

The storyline was superb. Piper is rough around the edges and Nat was the perfect BFF. Even though it has been a short time with Piper and Nat teamed up together, and Piper refuses to acknowledge how much she likes Nat, they are the perfect duo. We all need a Nat is our lives. Ronan is sinfully delicious and Lucifer made me cringe. It’s a testament to the narration that I was so heavily invested in the storytelling that each voice brought forth strong feelings.

I cannot wait for book 2!

I cannot emphasize how in love I am with these audio books so far. Stacey’s narration of book 2 solidified how amazing she is for Selena. Selena is a cold character. Book 1 had little emotional depth for her, not because she isn’t capable of the emotions, but because she must remain in control at all times. We saw what her emotions can do at the end of book 1.

Well we start book 2 with a Selena that is no longer dormant. She faces new feelings through friendship, and attraction but is trying to keep her emotions in a box. As her sisters start growing into their own selves and powers she learns to let go and starts to care about more than just Alex and Lilly.

Stacey’s narration was superb. There is enough grit in her voice to truly bring Selena to life while also having enough range to give each character a personality through voice. Selena’s emotions are rough, choppy, and RAW. That is who she is as a character and Stacy conveyed Selena’s emotional struggles perfectly while never losing site of the coldness that keeps Selena in control. When Selena breaks we hear it in her voice, and when Selena lets go of her monsters it’s conveyed perfectly. I cannot wait for book 3.
