Chapter 19 Jumped th shark

What the heck just happened!? This story was silly yet fun and well-written UNTIL chapter 19. Talking cats are fine, but the voices didn't match the setting, and really, this is where the story completely falls apart. Promises made in the build-up were never fulfilled, dynamics were off, too much mixing of genre. The story got weird and bland. Remaining chapters only fillers. It was so good in the beginning. I truly do not understand how it could fall apart so badly at the midpoint.

Wow! Really good. At first it seemed similar to a certain movie, albeit a favorite movie I won't name, but this book took unexpected turns and went deeper. A great story!

I didn't read the reviews before purchasing because I already knew and LOVED the book. Had I done so I would have realized it's an abridged version. Still a great story, and although super short, it retains the essence of the story. Audible abridged version skips pedantic beginning of original book, which worked for me, but Including more of the second and especially the third part of original story would have made it more enjoyable. Worth it if using credits, not so much if you have to buy it. Also, the only audio version of Remembrance IS this one.
