Boring disturbing story, main character and narration.

I hated this book. I restarted it 3 times in order to get into it—but I didn’t like the main character. It was just not someone I wanted to learn details of their masterbation and the disturbing things they did such as spending $20k to have a cheap motel room redesigned and decorated. I ending up returning it.

Bravery and resilience— an inspiring, real life story!

I am from Devon and grew up walking some sections of the coastal path. This area is my happy place and in my DNA. I had often wondered how it would be to walk this entire section. Now I live in the USA and painfully miss this area. Raynor’s account was real and so easy to visualize every thing she wrote about. Makes me home sick!
The story was so sad, happy, funny, poetic, colorful and unique. I have just finished the Audible version of this and LOVED it was Raynor who narratedit. Such a gentle kind Lancashire lass who has no bad in her at all! You just know this about her instantly.
I especially laughed about the Simon Armitage part—so amusing. I kept hoping Moth was going to do more readings so you both had enough to eat and to be comfortable. Nothing wrong with busking! It’s not legal but people love performers.
Thank you for such painful and intimate honesty. I am not sure I could have coped as you did.
I cannot WAIT to read the Wild Silence. Downloading now!
