Historia
A new epidemic is sweeping the country. Some people call it ADHD, scatter brain, or brain fog. Some simply say they just don't feel like themselves - and haven't for a long time. People are thinking and feeling worse than ever. Why? Because our brains are not getting the support they need to produce the essential brain chemicals that keep us energized, calm, focused, and inspired.

Go through the book like you’re getting rid of lice from your child’s hair—very carefully so you don’t miss any!
Revisado: 01-12-23
I just finished a masters in mental health counseling and know this book has information as valuable as any of the psychology theory books I read. I will be combining through the information in this book like combining through a child’s hair to get rid of lice. Yup, there’s a metaphor that will stick as anyone who has had a child with lice knows how careful you want to be being kind to your child and thorough n getting the job done! Same with mining out the smallest nuggets, while certainly collecting the huge rocks too, of truth in this book! Always enjoy Brene’s work and especially her humor and adult adjectives!! Highly recommend this book!!

Historia
Waking the Tiger offers a new and hopeful vision of trauma. It views the human animal as a unique being, endowed with an instinctual capacity. It asks and answers an intriguing question: Why are animals in the wild, though threatened routinely, rarely traumatized? By understanding the dynamics that make wild animals virtually immune to traumatic symptoms, the mystery of human trauma is revealed.

Loved The Content Narration Is Horrible
Revisado: 08-09-22
I would listen to this book multiple times if the narrator’s voice was different. I learned much from the book and will read it again, not listen to it.
