Historia
Viola Bowen has the chance of a lifetime: to design a video game based on her all-time favorite book series. The only problem? Her co-lead is Jesse F-ing Andrews, a.k.a. her arch-nemesis. Jesse has made it abundantly clear over the years that he wants nothing to do with her–and Viola has no idea why. When their bosses insist a wintery retreat is the perfect team-building exercise, Viola can’t think of anything worse. Being freezing cold in a remote mountain lodge knowing Jesse is right next door? No, thank you.

Not her normal quality, but I don’t regret it.
Revisado: 12-29-24
I have loved everything Ali has released so far… this was good. But not great. It felt somewhat rushed. And no epilogue?! We want the whole story to see if the two main characters get to a goal they both want and while we get a HEA, we don’t get a real conclusion to the main plot line outside of their relationship.

I’m really loving this series.
Revisado: 12-13-24
It’s like Hallmark meets late night Skinamax. And I love it.
This particular story does take a look at life and love after loss besides it being a cute romcom . Which it does very realistically

I wasn’t wildly impressed with the story and the ending is extremely abrupt. But the performance was quite good.

Historia
I didn’t mean to say I was engaged to a hot billionaire–it just slipped out. In my defense, I’d had a really bad haircut, a really strong drink, and I was trying to save face in front of the Mean Girl at my high school reunion. Lucky for me, I happen to know a hot billionaire. Hutton French and I have been friends forever, and even though big social gatherings are not his thing, I called him from the coat closet and begged him for a favor–show up and play my fake fiancé for the night. Except that word of our engagement spreads like wildfire.

Not quite the perfect people from the rest of the series…and that’s ok!
Revisado: 09-06-24
I like the whole Cloverleigh Farms world as a whole but this one stood out. The two leads had real issues to overcome. He suffers from sometimes crippling anxiety, she has some childhood trauma from her mother and high school bully that she has to work through.
I will say something I never thought would be needed from this series and there is a slight need for a TW: the female lead has a habit of hacking her hair off with scissors during peak pressure and stressful moments. The way she describes it- relief that she’ll regret later, she HAS to do it… it’s basically describing what many victims of Self Harm claim that experience is like.
Despite all of the “realness”, he is a billionaire with a conscious, she is an accomplished chef, there is a HEA, so it’s also still the fun romance you are expecting from Harlow.

Historia
The last person on earth I want to be stranded with is Gianni Lupo. But, thanks to the blizzard of the century, I’m trapped in a roadside motel room with that cocky bastard for two straight days, and with one small bed. Some women might thank Mother Nature for delivering a polar vortex that maroons them with six feet of solid muscle, those deep blue eyes, that sexy grin - but not me. I’ve known Gianni Lupo all my life, and he’s never brought me anything but bad luck, and trouble. I should have known what the disastrous end result would be.

Meh. This was my least fave of the Cloverleigh farms series. The first half draggggggs and the last half really quick and predictable. But I’m still going to finish the series since I’ve enjoyed all the others alot!

Revisado: 08-05-24
There is a POV from every main character. So you’re really only given just a bit of the story at one time and the reveals keep coming until the end. I am not a big suspense-type reader but this one had me hooked from chapter 2!!

Her world is stable, pleasant, and hard-fought. Until a hostile takeover and its offensively attractive front man threatens to bring it all crumbling down.

Not my favorite Ali Hazelwood book but worth the listen
Revisado: 07-01-24
Pro: I’ve come to love Ali’s brilliant STEM heroines and there were some cool things about Rue- it was interesting that she was neurodivergent and spotlighted people who struggle with social interactions.
Con: i love a spicy book but these scenes felt forced. And it was wayyy more than AH’s other books. They don’t need to hook up every single time they saw each other. It was like some editor was like “who cares if it detracts from the story… add another s3x scene!”

Daphne always loved the way her fiancé Peter told their story. How they met (on a blustery day), fell in love (over an errant hat), and moved back to his lakeside hometown to begin their life together. He really was good at telling it…right up until the moment he realized he was actually in love with his childhood best friend Petra. Which is how Daphne begins her new story.

Best book I have listened to this year… Please someone make this a movie so I can experience it again!!
Revisado: 06-24-24
I loved it. The story is a sweet romcom but also emotional and relatable with real insight to how our upbringing affects our decisions as adults. It’s about finding love but not just romantic, but friends you love, a job you love, a community you love, parents you love despite their flaws and finally loving yourself.
