Historia
Scoring an invitation for membership to the exclusive Legacy Club in New York City is more than an honor. It gives you a lifetime of access to power and wealth beyond any prep school doors and guaranteed safety and security. So it’s not surprising when Excelsior Prep seniors Bernie Kaplan, Isobel Rothcroft, and Skyler Hawkins are nominated as Legacies; their family pedigrees have assured their membership since birth—even if they're all keeping secrets that could destroy their reputations. But scholarship kid from Queens Tori Tasso? She’s a surprise nominee.

Loved this book!
Revisado: 11-19-21
This is the first time I’ve ever taken the time to actually write a review. I loved everything about this book. I loved the intro, the chapters, the stories, and the epilogue. I loved that they each took turns reading a chapter in their own voice and told their family story from the time they were born to present. So much resonated with me. I guess I grew up with them! I highly recommend it!

Worst book I ever read.
Revisado: 07-18-20
I'm not one who typically submits reviews, but if I could have given this book a negative number of stars I would have, for the time I wasted on it. In my life I've never read anything that comes close to how bad this book is. Characters are barely developed, tangentially interrelated, and uninteresting. There is no resolution to any of their stories (not that I really cared for one). Not a single character's story is even marginally interesting. Oh, did I mention that the book lacks a plot?

Highly simplistic
Revisado: 11-04-17
I hated all 3 major characters. Inter-relation didn’t occur until nearly the end. They were all 2 dimensional. Reasoning (Audible) was abominable.

Okay mystery but....
Revisado: 06-05-15
There are just so many coincidences one can accept when it comes to mysteries. This book, though reasonably well written, had too many large coincidences. The translation was generally good, but occasionally not.

Good concept. Held my interest
Revisado: 03-08-15
I had only two issues with this audio book. One had to do with the content the second with the reading. The reading was actually excellent except that when edited there should have been longer gaps between changes in action/location.I found myself confused by the shift in who we were talking about.with respect to the content, I always have trouble when the protagonist chooses to go it alone rather than involve the police. It's especially frustrating when that someone is on the path to discovery, but chooses notto document what he has accomplished in the event that he is killed or something else occurs. The reader knows, obviously, that when the protagonist decides to go it alone, something will go wrong.as a reader, I just want to take that protagonist and shake him and say wake up idiot.

Contrived and stupid
Revisado: 01-20-15
A high powered attorney on a major case for a huge law firm hears on the phone that a contact she's never even met is accosted and screaming after he conveniently forgets to hang up. What does the attorney do? Call the police to investigate? No, she jumps on a red eye flight to go to his apartment and investigate it herself.
Unfortunately this is not just one stupid contrivance, but rather one of the dozens in this idiotic book. I will stay away from this author forever.
