Historia
Frank Boston, retired Air Force Pararescueman, experienced two separate incidents involving three back-to-back deaths early in his Air Force career. He concluded after the second incident that he has a strange power he calls nose-smell, a sort of mystic instinct of seeing who will die in a group of related deaths. He goes years without using his ability until a small girl drowns in a pond on the nearby Air Force base. He knows two more water-related deaths will soon follow.

Excellent short read!
Revisado: 07-28-16
I lived at Travis AFB and the surrounding area and found this book to be so real it did not even feel like fiction. The narrator does an excellent job keeping a consistent speed and his tone and inflections made it more like someone telling a story rather than reading a book. I listened at 1.5 speed and it was perfect. This is a great story and is narrated very well, highly recommend!

Historia
Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, is where people go to hide. Neo-Nazis. Corrupt politicians. Mining men with buried secrets. In 1972, 91 men were killed in a mining "accident" sparked by a fire lit nearly a mile underground: the mystery was never solved. After the rest escaped, only three miners survived underground. More than 20 years later, Matt Worthson is a sheriff's lieutenant and the disgraced son of mining hero and Sunshine Mine survivor Stanley Worthson.

Truly excellent whodunit! Excellent narration!

I really enjoyed listening to this story. Such a tangled web though, it requires some focus and attentiveness. The narrator does a wonderful job of distinguishing between characters and giving a feel for their personalities by his versions of each one. So many twists and turns, I really enjoyed it! Not your typical boring narration at all!

I very much enjoyed listening to this book. The story (a true one) is incredible, a testament to the depth of a parents love and a real look inside the struggle of families with special needs children. Kevin Arthur Harper does a phenomenal job of capturing all the personalities in different voices, even all the women! He also does a great job with all the foreign accents in this book as well, a joy to listen to. Easy to follow and fun to listen to, you will love this audiobook.
