Way to much internal dialogue that goes no where meaningful

Unfortunately, this story is nothing but a drawn out tease that is just a continuous repeat of the same internal dialogue of “no we can’t I’m to bad too and your so sweet and innocent that I can’t possibly corrupt you”. Yet there’s nothing in the story to support either characters backstory. Don’t waste a credit on this subpar drawn out mess. There’s nothing to really support their chemistry and when they finally get to the sex it’s once again mostly just internal dialogue that isn’t sexy in the least. I found myself having to fast forward several times just to get to something actually different.

Not my favorite book by Sara Cate

This story seemed a bit thrown together and I just couldn’t feel the chemistry between the 3 main characters like I did in the previous story. It was also a bit hard to find the man on man sex as appealing as a story where there are just two guys that share and love one woman. Not that I have any problem with being gay, it’s just not my cup of literarily tea. Instead it was more like two guys that feel in love and the woman was a side piece that came along to bring them back together after a bad breakup caused by the younger male character being in denial about his sexual orientation. I also was not a fan of the female narrators voice. although I thought the male narrator did an awesome job.

Love this book

Excellent mix of chemistry, forbidden age gap romance and great plot. If you don’t mind an age difference between main characters, then you will love this story. It’s also very clean sexually if you prefer a more typical love story with traditional sex and nothing kinky that’s likely to result in trigger warning situations. It’s completely consensual while still providing that page turning burn readers love.

Very Good story

Will agree with some of the other reviewers that parts of the story were a little unbelievable considering the characters age and chronic health issues, but this is fiction so sometimes you just have to roll with it. Also, the age difference between Lou and Zeus was a bit too much for the situation. That being said if you can overlook those 2 issues. This is a well written story with good character development, a well paced plot and awesome romantic chemistry between the Lou and Zeus. Overall, I think most readers will really enjoy this book.

Not worth moving on to book 3

While book 1 had a good plot and decent character development; even if some of the characters actions and behaviors were a bit unrealistic for teenagers, in any situation. I still found the underlying story enjoyable. However, fast forward to this book and the story line just continued to become more unrealistic and cheap. At best the writing became mundane, focusing more on the sexual relationships between the characters than developing them emotionally. The sex scenes between Winter and the boys just became common without any real depth to them. Most of the characters simply stopped evolving into anything meaningful to help the story blossom into its true potential. I like a good sex scene as much as any romance reader and I am not prudish or put off by having multiple partners. However, that being said if you want to pull off a story with multiple sexual partners you have to take the time to develop each relationship individually in a way that makes the reader feel they understand the reason for multiple love interest. Sadly this author failed. If your looking for an author that can pull off multiple love interest I would check out Tate James.

Not the greatest book

Just couldn’t get into this story. The character development was good but there was no chemistry between the main female and her 4 cop imposter captors. In fact there’s nothing even remotely passionate, romantic or sexual in this book. It’s mostly just the main characters trying to figure out each other’s real motivation and their place in a serial murder at a strange mansion. It had potential but feel flat early on.

I loved Dante’s inferno but I can’t say the same of this series

First off the writing isn’t bad. Reynard is a pretty good writer from a technical standpoint. Second, the male narrator was just all wrong for the male lead. He sounded like a snobbish royal grandfather. It was hard to relate to him as a male in his sexual prime. While, I loved Dante’s inferno I just couldn’t fall in love with this story for a couple reasons. First, not to be superficial but in the beginning her description of Raven (FMLC) is awful! She truly makes her sound extremely unattractive ( like no one would even look her way. In fact even the men who were assaulting her because she interrupted their drunken beating of a homeless man thought she was so ugly that they would only rape her from behind). It’s one thing to not be perfect physically, it’s another to be so extremely unattractive and the author only improves her appearance with vampire blood. Just couldn’t get into this one!

Just didn’t grab my attention

This book seemed pretty bland. There was no real chemistry or action in this book. Instead it was just an emotionally troubled and unbalanced 20 something girl, finally getting the attention she’s always wanted from her romantic crush. If anything I found the story to be sad with no redeeming qualities to make it a page turner.

Generally, I love PW’s writing but this story just seemed to bizarre and lacked the normal chemistry and character development of her other books. It was really hard to relate or feel an emotional connection with the main male character. Let alone see why the female lead would be attracted to him while after he try’s to kill and rap her just for finding his abandoned estate hidden in a national park. Let alone his unkept appearance and short unfitting clothes. This story just didn’t do it for me.

Love this new series

Great writing, exciting new characters and an action filled slow burn romance with a bad boy main character very similar to her other characters, from previous series. I wasn’t disappointed at all. Can’t wait for book 2 to come out on audio. Worth a credit 100%
