I can't even finish this my anxiety listening to this is off the charts. It started out so good and then went into this extreme harassment story but the guy, I assume, she's supposed to fall in love with (and his mom) are so horrible I actually want her to kill them! It's not like this was written in the 80's which would have still been questionable, it was in 2012!! It's creepy and gross that we would want her to like any of these people.

This is the worst book I have read or listened to in years. I don't recommend it to anyone. I did finish it but it was very hard to get through. It's just really awful, the writing, the plot, the racist undertones, and the misogyny.

Just bad

This book series is awful and the performance is really bad. It is set in North Carolina but the accents are Canadian. There are no likable characters, although I wonder if the narrator was better I may have liked a few of them.
