Such a fun book!

It's a fun murder mystery set in modern London where someone is recreating old Ripper murders. In the style of The DaVinci Code, there are vast conspiracies and deep mysteries to uncover and Jason Narvy does a great job bringing the world alive. If you like Ripper, Shakespeare, or great mysteries, definitely check this one out.

So dull and boring I couldn't finish.

I used to think I could listen to Nick Poddehl read the phone book, but Aleron Kong proved me wrong. This book is so slow and repetitive I could barely finish it. Monsters is just 90% reading charts, 8% explaining rules we already knew, and only 2% plot development. The chapters are so short they are jarring and frustrating, Kong can't seem to finish a thigh without starting a new chapter. There are DBZ fights that are faster paced than the fights in this book. No action, no story, just character sheets and bad dick jokes.

An absolutely hilarious story that any rpg player will love. The naration is fantastic as well. My only complaint is that it isn't long enough.
