Well, the story line was actually not that bad; woman ruined man and wants to make it up with fake engagement then run away. However, the angst played on too long and they never became a couple. The antagonist wasn’t an outsider but within. I guess that’s what it was free. I bought it because someone complained about too much sex. That person needs to just read children’s literature.

This comes from the mind of a person not fully aware that erotica is more than an event. There is no movement of the soul added. The writing is off putting. The management of words juvenile and the reading terse. One has to add so much to it you may as well daydream about ducks riding the waves at a river bank as to listen for pleasure. The reader is excellent but given no art to use her voice. She should read the King James Bible and get her due rather than this.

I started to bypass this book because “A KAREN” complained about the reader. Please don’t skip this book or reader. I don’t know what Karen’s problem was maybe something personal but her review was incorrect. I absolutely enjoyed JILLY BOND’s performance. I have been looking for an author to use my credits on for over three years. I have been with Audible since 2004. This author continues to fill the gap after Nora Roberts and Stephanie Laurens have slowed their publications. The book is a hit. Tragic and yet real. Try it.

Overall this is one of the best developed, performed and read books of Lauren’s. The female character’s strength and bull stubbornness does not lessen the males lead character’s role. Lauren’s builds a drama with surprises, a complete romance, great sex scenes and a bit of comedy relief.
I followed the series from paperback to audio and it only got better.
