Historia
All it takes is a single brush with the supernatural to change a life forever. Some choose the path of magic and shadow willingly. Others never see the hand of magic as it shapes their fortunes. They face the extraordinary with nothing but courage and wits to guide them. Some mortals become trapped in the conflict between angels and demons and find themselves forever changed. For all too many, the shadows lead only to untimely ends.

Love it
Revisado: 04-18-16
Another great performance by Tess Irondale. She really knows how to bring a story to life. This is a nice little interlude for the characters from good intentions and I hope to see more of the new characters in the next book. I really enjoyed the parts with Kevin an Shannon. I hope Kevin finds out about everything that's going on around him.
Highly recommend this audio/book to anyone who has read the good intentions series.

Historia
To the Kleese, the Earth is nothing more than a planet full of conscripts to fight in their numerous wars of aggression. The Kleese are one of three large Galactic Empires that control the majority of the galaxy. To them, Earth is an extremely dangerous planet due to the aggressiveness of the humanoid species that inhabits it. The humans that inhabit Earth will make excellent conscripts, but something must be done to prevent them from expanding out into the galaxy.

Enjoyable story
Revisado: 02-23-16
I am a big fan of sci-fi and I quite enjoyed this book. There are a lot of little nods to other great sci-fi works in this book a it makes it a joy to read. The story is unique, and quite enjoyable. Sadly however the performance of this audiobook is not that great. The narrator talks way to quickly, and some of the voices he uses for certain characters makes them hard to understand. Honestly, I would recommend that you read this book instead.

Historia
Since time immemorial the Spires have sheltered humanity, towering for miles over the mist-shrouded surface of the world. Within their halls aristocratic houses have ruled for generations, developing scientific marvels, fostering trade alliances, and building fleets of airships to keep the peace. Captain Grimm commands the merchant ship Predator. Fiercely loyal to Spire Albion, he has taken their side in the cold war with Spire Aurora, disrupting the enemy's shipping lines by attacking their cargo vessels.

Good but not Great
Revisado: 11-14-15
Ok, to begin I must say that this book could have been way better had the author focused on Grim and the predator instead of having 5 different character trying to tell the story. I really don't understand why the author decided to focus on characters who din't bring much to the story. Gwen, Bridget, Benedict, and Raoul (god i hate that cat) were necessary to the story they brought nothing to the story and just caused problems.
I really loved the air combat in this story but it was only at the very beginning for like 2 seconds and then another little bit at the end. Why is that when it is the most entertaining part of the book?
I also found this book quite confusing in the fact that it did not explain enough of the setting. The author would introduce a topic or concept in a chapter but he would not explain what it was or what it did until a few chapters latter. Writing 101, you introduce something and then you explain it because not everyone knows what it is.
Overall this is a decent book that but nothing special.
