Seriously life-changing!
Revisado: 01-30-25
Wow! Talk about motivational! I am blown away by the simple but crazy effective method that Mel details in this book. I laughed, I cried, I got off my butt. I am sharing this with everyone in my life. I think I’ve always believed in this principle but never knew how to use it to help me connect to others rather than walking away and feeling hopeless, alone & sad. The Let Me part is sooooo essential! I highly suggest listening rather than reading this book. Don’t miss out on Mel’s highly infectious & inspirational vibe. She is incredibly motivating & down to earth. The right narrator makes all the difference and her passionate, relatable, authentic & friendly delivery drives this message home! Thank you Mel.

This audio will give you the step-by-step instructions of how to raise your childrens' belief in themselves. You’ll find out what Bill Clinton, Martha Stewart, Tiger Woods, Oprah, and Richard Nixon all had in common (they self-sabotaged some part of their lives).

Very helpful!
Revisado: 12-29-20
I found this to be a very helpful quick listen packed with excellent advice & suggestions. The author/narrator delivers the message clearly and concisely and there’s no “car salesman” feel that I expected lol. I loved her voice and easy manner of speaking and believed her convictions. And the content was excellent! I will definitely apply this to my life! Definitely worth the listen.

Historia
In this vulnerable memoir of transformation, Rebekah Lyons shares her journey from Atlanta, Georgia to the heart of Manhattan, where she found herself blindsided by crippling depression and anxiety. Overwhelmed by the pressure to be domestically efficient, professionally astute, and physically attractive, Rebekah finally realized that freedom can come only by facing our greatest fears and fully surrendering to God's call on our lives.

Beautifully written but too religious for me
Revisado: 12-29-20
The authors account is beautifully written. The narrator is lovely but a bit too “sing song” & cheesy for me to believe her. I related 100% to the first half of the book. The second half lost me with the “come to Jesus/God” message. The “solution” is to find god & lay your troubles at his feet. That will undoubtedly work for you if you are a religious person. I am not. God is not my answer. I do not follow scripture. The Bible has its rightful place on my bookshelf along with all the other great works of mythology. Also, the author clearly has a LOT of friends to help her in life! I wish I had the support she has. I couldn’t relate to that aspect. I do, however, agree with her underlying message that we all must find our gifts and “pair them with our burdens”. Overall, it was worth a read/listen. If you are religious/Christian, this book is perfect. If not, you might not enjoy or relate to her “solution”.
