Probably the most narcissist author I ever read

Nabokov is so self-centered that he won't bother to write interestingly even about himself. a really poor read.

Informative but a little down-played

I learned a lot from this book. It is very informative, well written and well narrated. My only concern is that comparing to Dr Atkins books for example - the effort to make it non-technical made me fill like reading a 9th grade textbook.

I have enjoyed the book and narrator both. This is the first Emile Zola I have ever read (although saw Germinal in the cinema). 19-century writers knew their job.

A collection of cliches

This book collects just about everything I already read about the Wehrmacht and occupied France. The story itself is nice but does not worth an entire book. The last chapter stands out and if I read it as a novella I might have liked it.

Interesting, encouraging, nicely depicting a state of mind that is so rare in our days.
I will surely return to this book.

The book does not even remotely resemble Crichton books. The first chapters are OK. However, it seems that there is a lot more to say about Crichton and it is a pity that Crichton did not say it himself.

The book is uninformative. It doesn't say anything that the readers can't figure out by themselves.

I do believe that there is a market fro books on this topic (big businesses after 2008, especially IBM), but they do have to be more informative and less repetitive.

Would you listen to Cicero: The Life and Times of Rome's Greatest Politician again? Why?

This book provides a comprehensive depiction of Cicero lives and times.

What did you like best about this story?

I have learned a lot from this book, not only from the facts that were presented, but also from the hints into Cicero character and motives, insights that went deeper than "he was the defender of republic and paid the price". A lesson to our modern republican statesmen all over the world: it is cool to be on the right side, but being right doesn't say you can skip being wise.

Have you listened to any of John Curless’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

A really motivating book

What made the experience of listening to Smart Money Smart Kids the most enjoyable?

I truly enjoyed reading a book in a topic I have mixed feeling towards. I learned from the authors wisdom and the many examples provided.

What did you learn from Smart Money Smart Kids that you would use in your daily life?

I am going to make it a handbook.
