Interesting Vulnerable Memoir through a tough time coming out the other side better
Revisado: 09-13-24
This book touched me personally with its content and thus it was so relatable!
If you want a great memoir that will surprise you with its non-sensationalized vulnerability, then Wine Witch on Fire is for you.
Don’t drink wine? Don’t be fooled as wine or alcohol consumption is not needed to enjoy this gem!
The audio is read by the author and to me makes it even more special. I love when authors read their own books.
Natalie Maclean’s memoir is what you need if only to learn a few things the easy way not the hard way. I can only imagine how hard this was to put out there!
I admire her and think she did an absolutely amazing job. She should be very very proud.
I found so much of it relatable and will tell many of my friends to read or listen to this!

Historia
They say you can never go home again, and for Persephone Fraser, ever since she made the biggest mistake of her life a decade ago, that has felt too true. Instead of glittering summers on the lakeshore of her childhood, she spends them in a stylish apartment in the city, going out with friends, and keeping everyone a safe distance from her heart. Until she receives the call that sends her racing back to Barry’s Bay and into the orbit of Sam Florek—the man she never thought she’d have to live without.

Historia
Chemist Elizabeth Zott is not your average woman. In fact, Elizabeth Zott would be the first to point out that there is no such thing as an average woman. But it’s the early 1960s and her all-male team at Hastings Research Institute takes a very unscientific view of equality. Except for one: Calvin Evans; the lonely, brilliant, Nobel–prize nominated grudge-holder who falls in love with—of all things—her mind. True chemistry results.
