I was very impressed with the continued storyline line and surprises. One of the best parts of this book is the addition of new characters and reunification of characters that have been mentioned in the previous books. The dynamic and banter between the main characters is always entertaining, but we also see the main characters suffer more and grow from it. It's not all fun and games. The god thing with Poppy is a little beyond even what is usually acceptable in fantasy, but it's still kind of cool. You have to read it to understand. But it is time to conclude the story; the next book should be the last one.

A must read. Innovative imaginative story

Excellent imaginative, creative and different. Slow beginning and had to adjust to the calm narrators style, I eventually realised the purpose of his style. Narrators style is appropriate to build up of story and character. I will be purchasing the next two books. excited to read the next chapter and uncover the full story. Great sci-fi.

Short but encouraging

the narrator has a soothing voice and the book is short anf encouraging. if you want a few encouraging words and scriptures listen to this book. if you are looking for a complex and literary book this is not for you. i enjoyed the book and can listen in my car while driving in LA traffic.

Narrator was exellent and story was powerful

Really great story about love, hate, loss and the atrocities of slavery and its effect on families. Story had an interesting twist I was not expecting. Narrator was excellent, she really added flavor to story and characters, and helped establish the tone of storyline. And surprisingly her accents were great.

Still a great classic but the reader was not very good at reading the African Americans slave accents and broken English. I had to get used to that, I eventually did but it took a few chapters. She was very good at reading everything else, she has a great voice for audio books.

Great encouraging book; narrator voice is cool

Get the book if you want some encouragement in your faith walk. Finished it on one day. It is simple concise and gives reference scriptures. Not a scholastic book but encouraging for a faith boost. Great advice and great scripture references. I enjoyed it, would listen again if I need to renew my faith and check myself.
