Not a very original pirate story
Revisado: 04-23-18
Pretty predictable but really good performance. I'm just baffled that no one took more of an effort to make this story more exciting and less predictable. Other than that, would recommend as it is an entertaining listen.

Historia
Confucius stands alone among the world's great thinkers. Perhaps no other teacher has exerted so powerful a hold over so many people for so long. For two and a half millennia his sayings, preserved and developed by generations of his followers, have shaped the cultural and political life of the world's most populous nation, and they continue to offer fresh insights for today's globalized society. This audiobook sets Confucius's life and teachings in the context of the long history of China....

Very informative, great narrator and more
Revisado: 04-22-16
This audio book neatly captures both quotes, wisdoms and the story in how Confucius developed and passed on his teachings and how they evolved throughout time. It is a great nutshell leaving me willing to learn more about Confucius, yet understanding enough to know about his teachings

Historia
This book teaches you personal interaction on a psychological level. It runs from trivial tricks like getting people to like and respect you more, to tactical life skills like making a convincing argument or persuading somebody to do you a large favor. In case you're up for some heavier artillery, it also teaches you how to play manipulative tricks on people by exploiting arcane quirks in the human mind, to psychological combat maneuvers practiced by law enforcement and the military.

Not enough techniques to learn enough
Revisado: 04-18-16
It's a fun listen, great story telling, but not one that really drills in the possible, useful techniques to the point that you are bound to remember them and actually find a great way of using them

Historia
This is a summary of the original book, Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion by Robert Cialdini. The book is an authoritative work on the art of persuasion. It discusses the mental attitudes that make you say "yes", and, more importantly, explains how to use these. The author walks you through six universal principles and explains how to be a skilled influencer, while at the same time knowing how to shield yourself from negative persuasions.

Very few insights
Revisado: 04-17-16
It does summarize the book, but I got the feeling that there were few techniques explained making it seem as if the book actually has very few insights into how to persuade someone.
