Historia
Beckett: If you’re reading this, well, you know the last-letter drill. You made it. I didn’t. Get off the guilt train, because I know if there was any chance you could have saved me, you would have. I need one thing from you: get out of the army and get to Telluride. My little sister Ella’s raising the twins alone. She’s too independent and won’t accept help easily, but she has lost our grandmother, our parents, and now me. It’s too much for anyone to endure. And here’s the kicker: there’s something else you don’t know that’s tearing her family apart.

Too much of the same thing
Revisado: 01-15-25
So much tragedy.
His narration was better than the whiny woman.
Ella was not likable or believable. Can’t believe she would not trust Chaos after truth and actions.
Repetitious…come on already. Much could have been cut.
Sex scenes were explicit, not sure if that was needed?

The voices were painful to listen to. They didn’t match the ages or personalities to me. Story was ok...nothing great.

Worthy read

Loved all, but the ending. It lacked the intensity of the rest of the book, but still a great read. The voices were well done!

Historia
On a night flight from London to Boston, Ted Severson meets the stunning and mysterious Lily Kintner. Sharing one too many martinis, the strangers begin to play a game of truth, revealing very intimate details about themselves. Ted talks about his marriage that's going stale and his wife, Miranda, who he's sure is cheating on him. Ted and his wife were a mismatch from the start - he the rich businessman, she the artistic free spirit - a contrast that once inflamed their passion but has now become a cliché.

Narrators didn’t seem young enough

Didn’t really care for the voices. Story was fine, nothing I’d rave about. A bit predictable.

Not the thriller I’d hoped for
Revisado: 04-08-19
Quite predictable, and took forever to get there. If the book had been a hard copy, I would have skipped forward to the end.

Not exactly what I thought
Revisado: 06-25-18
I struggled to get into this book and almost abandoned it. I thought there was going to be more intrigue and war info, but it read like a simple life memoir. I read reviews and people seemed to really like it so I kept going. I can't say it really got much better for me. It was interesting, but it felt like I was watching a black and white movie of the era. Kind of like Casablanca. Not super exciting, but I learned some things.
