Great Book with a Different Storyline
Revisado: 03-27-25
This book had a lot of twists and turns. I really had no idea where it was going or what was going on until the very end but in a good way not a confusing way. The narration was really good and moved at a good pace. The author wrapped everything up at the end and gave all the characters closure which is nice. The ending left me feeling sad just because of the topic of the book. I would definitely try out more of this authors books.

Crazy Good Story
Revisado: 03-20-25
The ending of this book creeped me out. I hope this can't really happen in real life. I thought the book was interesting and moved at a good pace. Good character building and kept me interested.

Historia
Nora Noone’s father was many things to many people. To the public he was a self-made titan of industry, whose luxury boutique hotels were among the most coveted destinations in the world. To his three ex-wives, he was a loving yet distant family man who managed to keep his finances—and his families—separate. But, to Nora, he was always a mystery—especially after his suspicious death at his cliffside home.

Overall Decent Book
Revisado: 03-20-25
Beginning was a bit confusing and one part towards the mid/end was slow and boring- kind of felt like they were regurgitating the same chapters but beyond that I liked the book and the storyline and there was a part towards the end that caught me off guard. I thought it was going to be something else so that was a good twist.
I loved the narration.

For GBI investigator Will Trent and medical examiner Sara Linton, McAlpine Lodge seems like the ideal getaway to celebrate their honeymoon. Set on a gorgeous, off-the-grid mountaintop property, it’s the perfect place to unplug and reconnect. Until a bone-chilling scream cuts through the night. Mercy McAlpine, the manager of the Lodge, is dead. With a vicious storm raging and the one access road to the property washed out, the murderer must be someone on the mountain. But as Will and Sara investigate the McAlpine family and the other guests, they realize that everyone here is lying.

Not my favorite from the series
Revisado: 11-12-24
ugh I hate to say anything negative about this series because I've been obsessed with it! It's been hit after hit but this one was just so so. It's a whodunit and reminded me of the board game clue. Again you have to hear all about how paralyzed Trent is because of his dyslexia. Also it was easy to figure out who did it. All that being said its not a terrible book at all and if you have liked the other books you should give this a try. There is a weird twist at the end.

Historia
Fresh out of rehab, Mallory Quinn takes a job as a babysitter for Ted and Caroline Maxwell. She is to look after their five-year-old son, Teddy. Mallory immediately loves it. She has her own living space, goes out for nightly runs, and has the stability she craves. And she sincerely bonds with Teddy, a sweet, shy boy who is never without his sketchbook and pencil. His drawings are the usual fare: trees, rabbits, balloons. But one day, he draws something different: a man in a forest, dragging a woman’s lifeless body.

Not my normal type of book but I really liked it.
Revisado: 11-12-24
ok sooooo I'm not into paranormal, ghosts or anything like that so when this book started turning that way I was feeling a little regretful but it didn't go too crazy with that theme and kept it for the most part in the real world and it ended up being a great book. The narration was good except at times she does sound like she's talking super fast like a friend trying to quickly catch you up on something that happened. There is one thing I felt was never addressed in the book and that's the hole under the cottage. I feel like that could have gone so many different ways but the one they chose. I did not guess the ending.

On an ordinary Monday morning, Ariel Cafferty's phone buzzes with a disturbing text message. Something’s happened. I need to see you. Meet me under the candelabra tree ASAP. The words would be jarring from anyone, but the sender is the only man she ever loved. And it's been several years since she learned he died. Seeing Drew’s name pop up is heart-stopping. Ariel’s gut says it can’t be real. But she goes to the tree anyway. She has to. Nobody shows.

Face Paced, Interesting Story
Revisado: 11-12-24
When I first started it and listened to the prologue I was like what the heck kind of book did I just pick? I thought it was going to be some kind of government always watching you type thing but it really wasn't. The books moves fast and while its easy to guess who the bad person is, it was still very entertaining. The narration was good as well.

No one knows what happened that morning at River Point. Five boys went hunting. Four came back. The boys won't say who fired the shot that killed their friend, Grant; the evidence shows it could have been any one of them. Kate Marino's senior year internship at the District Attorney's Office isn't exactly glamorous - more like an excuse to leave school early that looks good on college applications. Then the DA hands her boss, Mr. Stone, the biggest case her small town of Belle Terre has ever seen.

Loved This!!!
Revisado: 09-24-24
First I loved the narration. So cute. The different voices made it easy to follow the characters and paint a picture of what they would look like. Second the story was so good. Had me so mad and frustrated at some points because of what was happening to some of the characters. I wanted justice!! lol. This was such an easy read and I would love to try more from this author.

It was great up until the end.
Revisado: 08-22-24
Have you ever decided you were going to organize your closet so you take all the clothes out and then you decide your bored and over it only youre stuck with the mess so you quickly shove it all back in? That's what this story is like. Its a great story, laid out fairly well and then at the end where the meat and potatoes should happen the author just skims through the entire trial with no climax and basically just has the main character tell you everything instead of figuring it all out as it unwraps. Total let down. Also the husband in this is so unlikeable!! he just seems like a jerk who's always pissy and yelling. I'd say skip it.

So Good!! Not my Normal Genre but Worth the Read
Revisado: 08-13-24
I saw everyone raving about how good this book was in a group I'm in so I bought it without looking at the description and then a few chapters in I was like wait is this a romance??? I normally always get suspense, thrillers, crime, etc. so I just assumed this was similar but I was already invested so I stuck with it and it was such a good story. Good twists too!
