Difficult to endure narrator

It’s ok

I found the language difficult at times. I am from Canada though and the term “Indian” has not been considered appropriate terminology for a while now. Very much a historical account of battles. I found the regard given to the rangers somewhat disturbing at times. The atrocities on both sides of this conflict difficult to listen to as they should be. Tragic and interesting time.

Tough to change readers mid series

The story is not as bad as some make it out to be. The hard part is the narrator. We are used to Oliver Wyman reading and he should have been the one to do this book. I never understand why there is not consistent pronunciation with names between various readers, I found that annoying. The tone and pacing is off in comparison to the other books but I do believe that is a delivery problem not fault of the book. As for politics it’s his soap box he can make his characters opinions known I don’t agree with them but I can still listen/read without getting upset. In the end it’s just a book and I love the series he pokes fun at himself and others it’s a campy adventure and it makes me smile.
