Historia
Facing summer with her two boys, ages 10 and seven, Pam Lobley was sifting through signups for swim team, rec camp, night camp, scout camp, and enrichment classes. Overwhelmed at the choices, she asked her sons what they wanted to do during summer: "Soccer? Zoo School? Little Prodigy's Art Club?" "Why can't we just play?" they asked. A summer with no scheduled activities at all. The thought was tempting, but was it possible? It would be like something out of the 1950s.

Thought Provoking
Revisado: 01-28-23
Although a lot of what the author writes about regarding slowing down and allowing our children to have a more relaxed and joyful childhood is not new to me, the way she shares her experience and a lot of her realizations have cemented my belief that it is ok to allow our children to enjoy a relaxed childhood without the rigor. We homeschool for the flexibility to meet our children where they are at as well as schedule our days the way we want. The narrator is excellent and this was an easy listen. Definitely recommend the book to today’s parents. She did not homeschool her kids and therefore this book is helpful for those who do not homeschool as well.

Isolated by Mexico's deadly Copper Canyons, the blissful Tarahumara Indians have honed the ability to run hundreds of miles without rest or injury. In a riveting narrative, award-winning journalist and often-injured runner Christopher McDougall sets out to discover their secrets. Historia
Deep down here by the dark water lived old Gollum, a small slimy creature. I don’t know where he came from, nor who or what he was. He was Gollum—as dark as darkness, except for two big round pale eyes in his thin face. He had a little boat, and he rowed about quite quietly on the lake; for lake it was, wide and deep and deadly cold.

Loved everything about this audio book. Andy Serkis did an extraordinary job reading and making this story come to life. I listened along with my 4 boys ages 7 and under and we thoroughly enjoyed it and will likely re-listen to it many times more

Love is important, but it is respect that is the key to your son's heart. The idea of moms respecting their sons may sound alien to some, but it seems to ignite curiosity across the board. It is easy to relate to the need for all of us to feel a mother's love, but is that the same thing as respect? Even for young boys, the effect of respect is nothing short of astounding when applied properly.

Great Resource for All Women
Revisado: 10-08-18
I LOVE this book. It has opened my eyes and my heart on how to meet the respect need of my 3 boys as well as my husband. I believe this is not only a great resource for Mother’s of Boys but really every woman can benefit from reading this because we all will come into connect with men at one point or another. It really comes down to be able to communicate and see the other sex as they need to be seen, heard and communicated with. This was also very easy to listen to and follow. So glad I got it.

WOW! Highly recommend for parents with multiple kids
Revisado: 07-25-18
This book was so enlightening. It did bring up memories from my own childhood and gave me such an appreciation for the relationships I have with my own siblings. More importantly it has given me the tools useful to address sibling conflict and to help teach our kids how to work things out themselves and with each other with the hopes of building a strong and close bond.
