Historia
The tragic fate of the British airship R101—which went down in a spectacular fireball in 1930, killing more people than died in the Hindenburg disaster seven years later—has been largely forgotten. In His Majesty’s Airship, S.C. Gwynne resurrects it in vivid detail, telling the epic story of great ambition gone terribly wrong.

Great Book on an obscure subject.
Revisado: 04-09-25
I thought the book was well written, and well read. It is an obscure subject, that I found much more interesting than I thought I would.

Historia
Throughout her childhood and adolescence, the anonymous author of The Incest Diary was raped by her father. Beneath a veneer of normal family life, she grew up in and around this all-encompassing secret. Her sexual relationship with her father lasted, off and on, into her 20s. It formed her world, and it formed her deepest fears and desires.

loved the narrator! I feel there is alot of this womans story still untold. you can feel the gaps.
The Chilean portion is so well detailed compared to the rest
Still any of us who can confront the demons to this extent is to be applauded in my opinion.

Narration needs help.
Revisado: 05-20-23
The Narrator sounded well educated and professional. Her distinctions of voices needs help.
Personally, the narrations, as performed, detracted from the book. For me anyway.

Historia
Rose George, acclaimed chronicler of what we would rather ignore, sails from Rotterdam to Suez to Singapore on ships the length of football fields and the height of Niagara Falls; she patrols the Indian Ocean with an anti-piracy task force; she joins seafaring chaplains and investigates the harm that ships inflict on endangered whales. Sharply informative and entertaining, Ninety Percent of Everything reveals the workings and perils of an unseen world that holds the key to our economy, our environment, and our very civilization.

Nice story.
Revisado: 04-29-18
I found the authors reluctance to explore the ship disappointing. Basicly it's a tourism guide with pirate stories.
Some economics are thrown in for fun.

Historia
On an entirely normal, beautiful fall day in Chester's Mill, Maine, the town is inexplicably and suddenly sealed off from the rest of the world by an invisible force field. Planes crash into it and fall from the sky in flaming wreckage, a gardener's hand is severed as "the dome" comes down on it, people running errands in the neighboring town are divided from their families, and cars explode on impact. No one can fathom what this barrier is, where it came from, and when - or if - it will go away.

A great book. Classic King. I'm my opinion, the darkest of them all. I had to stop the book for a few days at a time to restore my faith in humanity.

Amazing
Revisado: 05-18-17
I enjoyed the book, because I never knew that anyone went to jail over these horrible crimes.
I hope the church can recover and make itself a shining light as it should be.
The revelation of the scope of these crimes not only robbed the children, but also robbed the country of its innocence. The church is made up of people. when they commit horrible crimes they should go to jail.
