An unexpected joy!

I found the author and the reference to this book through TikTok and decided I had credits to burn so what the heck. And after listening to the first book, actually after listening to the first 15 minutes of the first book, I was sad that I don’t have another book to download in the series. There are at least two more I see on several pages so I will happily wait for them to reach to my ears so I can take in and enjoy the book. Aspects of the murder I figured out maybe halfway through some of it but then there was some great twist and turns I did not see coming. The book was also wonderfully narrated.

Historia
The fourth book in the NYT best-selling Expanse series, Cibola Burn sees the crew of the Rocinante on a new frontier, as the rush to colonize the new planets threatens to outrun law and order and give way to war and chaos. Enter a new frontier. "An empty apartment, a missing family, that's creepy. But this is like finding a military base with no one on it. Fighters and tanks idling on the runway with no drivers. This is bad juju. Something wrong happened here. What you should do is tell everyone to leave".

Historia
The alien artifact working through its program under the clouds of Venus has appeared in Uranus's orbit, where it has built a massive gate that leads to a starless dark. Jim Holden and the crew of the Rocinante are part of a vast flotilla of scientific and military ships going out to examine the artifact. But behind the scenes, a complex plot is unfolding, with the destruction of Holden at its core. As the emissaries of the human race try to find whether the gate is an opportunity or a threat, the greatest danger is the one they brought with them.

So much yes!!!
Revisado: 05-04-18
The levels of ups and downs in this book is damn near cosmic!!!
There are characters in this book you will grow to despise so deeply even as you rage against their mind set and yet you can damn near sympathize with them!!
It just keeps getting better!! On to the next!!

Historia
More than two centuries after World War III poisoned the planet, the final bastion of humanity lives on massive airships circling the globe in search of a habitable area to call home. Aging and outdated, most of the ships plummeted back to Earth long ago. The only thing keeping the two surviving lifeboats in the sky are Hell Divers - men and women who risk their lives by skydiving to the surface to scavenge for parts the ships desperately need.
