Hard to follow but some parts were interesting.

Not one of her best but she has obviously done a fair amount of research of communes and the hippie movement of the 1970s. I liked the plot but it did not hold together well with the side story she tried to weave into the main narrative.

Excellent description of Appalachia and associated substance-abuse problems

It is hard to believe that this book was written by one author due to the fact that there is so much information that is accurate in this description of opioid pain, clinics and substance abuse in the poor and disadvantaged Appalachian Americans. The book is so detailed that it almost makes one believe that the author had a history of substance abuse at one time herself. Her description of Demon Copperhead's emotions throughout the book was expertly done and gave the book depth & substance.

The author has never failed me and teaches Spanish with great skill and expertise. I have other courses but the courses thought here are great for review and learning perfect Spanish grammar and syntax.

I am ashamed of my white race for the cruel ways the treated African Americans during that era. It once again demonstrates mans ability to behave inhumanely towards their fellow man but both blacks and whites are capable of bad behavior.

The bundle is a 4-5 star Spanish program

I loved the instruction listening but reading the PDF file for back up to be sure what I heard, I found too many mistakes in the PDF that confused me until I tested the correct answer on Google Translate that showed that I was right and that they had done a poor job of proof reading their own PDF. I was very disappointed with the PDF and therefore rate the program 4 stars overall.

The Best Medical Spanish Availabe! 6 Stars!

If I could give this book 6 stars I would. I am a medical professional that has been slaving through non-medical Spanish learning courses hoping to become fluent in the Spanish language. This and David Rappoport's other books in this course are the answer to my prayers. I am learning so much and so quickly. I cannot wait for my next Hispanic patient encounter.

Now I feel like I can really truly communicate with my Spanish speaking patients. This course is exactly what I needed. Because of the way the course is taught, I am also learning to speak non-medical Spanish even more fluently.

The plot was interesting and the development of characters is such that you remember the main participants clearly. This is a book worth reading and keeping for a second read.

This book is an "okay" read.

The book maintained my interest but in my opinion, there was not much of an ending which I felt was lacking. The plot was a little bit cookie cutter and manufactured and the ending was anticlimactic. Over all the book is worth a read and return.

Good book but the narrator was bad.

The narrator was not very good when he tried to give different voices and accents to the characters. At times it was very annoying to hear him try to give accents to military officers, etc.

The Best & Only Way to Learn Spanish!

I have made attempts to learn Spanish over maybe 30 years. I love the language but have never been able to really learn it. I have purchased Pimsleur Spanish and can truly say that I have finally mastered the language for the very first time. In my opinion this is the best and ONLY way to learn the Spanish language. I am extremely pleased with my purchase and am eagerly awaiting to begin Pimsleur Spanish Level II. I thought I had a learning problem but all along it has been a teaching problem. I highly recommend this course to anyone who wishes to learn Spanish but has never been able to successfully accomplish the goal. Happy Learning!
