A lot of science in story, but written so anyone can still understand and enjoy. But, science nerds will really love this one! Larger topics make it thoughtful and relevant, if that interests you, too. Will be a great movie someday.

Life-changing for this true crime afficianado

Of course I have loved everything thing I've read by Jack Olsen. Every book uses a completely different literary treatment, too...which is as satisfying as it is amazing. In the past, I've always been less focussed on the stories' victims as on the police, perps and court...but this book has honestly changed that forever. No mistake...a top shelf true crime find in all ways, but this one is specifically written in a way that organically makes you one of the family. deeply felt, as well as researched. I rarely shed tears during my listens in this genre...but went there at the end of this. I will miss my new extended family almost as much as I do Jack himself. Thank you, again, Audible. Also, excellent intro...really teed it up nicely for me.

loved first film, second was okay. but this....neither of us wanted to even finish listening to. production is busy and noisy. the story is rote space cowboy stuff. child's voice sounded like bad anime...grating. too bad. glad it was free.

A historically important case, as well as a juicy true crime fix, which I'd never heard of, with very good and important context provided. Admirers of Richard Wright and/or Native Son, may be as grateful as I am for the amazing links...including relevant citations. (NOTE: While very worthwhile and interesting info, it's still a very scanty read. It seems like a poor business ploy to create all these tiny Schecter pieces as separate purchases. They know many admire him and want to read all we can, but, really?)
