I really tried to finish this book. But it went so long before any of the characters picked up or used any type of weapon other than a car. I would think that once they understood what was going on they would pick up something other than a shovel and a table leg and that was after about 15 hours in the book.

All in all Not bad

I finished book one and I am in the middle of book 2 the first thing I thought was this is a spin on Ready Player One. When I got into book two it still had an air of Ready Player Two.

The stories aren't bad but the narration could be better. Narration itself is good but the added sound effects are annoying and are not needed. I wish they would leave it to the story and the narration to build the image in your mind and not overdo it with the sound effects.

Good Story but......

While I am liking this venue of audio book and I liked this story I must say the Stats are over done. I say this but you should know I like stats it adds to the story but there is a limit.

This audiobook is a little over 56 hours long but there are over 100 stat chapters which comes out to be almost 5 1/2 hours long.

good story

it was a good and interesting story but I wish the author woukd of done a little research on firearms since it was a catalyst of the story. one example is the continued term of automatic pistol and a full "clip" for a glock.

I like the first two books and most of the 3rd. The story was good and the progression as a smooth one even between all the killing of bunnies. lol.

The third book as where this changed. Half way through the book the author just took random jabs at critics of the books and went on rants. The last half of the third book just tossed out the premise of the book, granted I know this is due to the last two books being canceled and he wanted to end the series, but I think this could of been done better without attacking those that don't matter (trolls as in the negative posters).

My thoughts on the authors hate towards his thin skin in regards to critics happened after the book when he had his main character roast a critic. Funny yes but re-enforced the thin skin.

At least it's not Homefront

I have been a fan since book one except for HomeFront, ugh....

The books just seem to repeat themselves but I think he did good on taking the fight to the Kitties but then another problem is tossed in then the end comes like a freight train. Not a fan of cliffhangers.

But must say loved the outtakes by RC Bray . always keeps the story alive.

Stick with audiobooks

I love the Barrel of monkeys and that beer can but they should stick with audiobooks and stay away from these Drama specials.

Guess I am not the one for the background music, sound effects, and stuff. Lets go from books straight to a movie.
