The series never stops sucking me in and making want more! The characters are well developed and you actually care what happens to them. The mythology and religious underpinning adds a depth of reality that the other series in the genre cannot match.

Ryker only had one goal in his life right now: turn a certain adventuring guild into a flaming wreck while dancing merrily through the smoldering ruins. All for the chance to get back at a handful of people. It didn’t work out that way though. At all. He’d died, been forced into the body of an avatar, absconded with the queen as her castle fell to betrayal, kidnapped a little kid who is obviously more than he seems, and to top all that off, he killed his undead father. The smoldering ruins of the queendom have cooled, and Ryker has a task that is more than likely too much for him.

It was what I have come to expect from William Arand. A well crafted tall laces with sexual tension, intrigue, world building and a cast of imperfect people striving to be honest with each i a dishonest world. I continue to devour his fiction like diabetic at a bake fair and hope his production outpaces my appetite. Andrea Parseneau never fails to enhance the underlying material. Cheers y’all

Reports to write, forms to fill, coffee to drink, leads to run down. Gus’s life was a tedium and boredom he’d grown comfortable with. One that he sought out after he’d come back from his tour of duty. A detective in the paranormal investigations department. A job he could work day in and day out in relative peace. One cold and forgotten cup of coffee at a time. It was an environment that made some sense to him. At least in comparison to civilian life where almost nothing did. On top of that, it gave him a chance to hide what he was from the rest of the world.

Excellent, RD does it again!

An entertaining way to spend a weekend! I found the combination of elements and characters both captivating and easy to follow. Yet another well written and well thought out world created by Randi Darren. There is of course that signature bit of sizzle and sexual tension that defines his work. This time it was done in a more suggestive and less overtly graphic package. Kudos to the chef.

"Dude! It finally came!" My roommate barely withheld his excitement as he barreled into the living room of our apartment with a package in his hand. "Check it out, Jacob." He smiled as he tore at the brown paper surrounding his purchase. As he ripped the covering off the package, bits and pieces scattered all across the floor of the living room like confetti. For a second, I thought about lecturing Todd about not making a mess of our apartment, but who was I kidding? This place was already a shithole. At least some half-assed confetti would make it feel a little livelier.
