Historia
Chemist Elizabeth Zott is not your average woman. In fact, Elizabeth Zott would be the first to point out that there is no such thing as an average woman. But it’s the early 1960s and her all-male team at Hastings Research Institute takes a very unscientific view of equality. Except for one: Calvin Evans; the lonely, brilliant, Nobel–prize nominated grudge-holder who falls in love with—of all things—her mind. True chemistry results.

Being a strong woman
Revisado: 09-08-22
Loved the very real character of the protagonist. She was uncompromising when she knew she was in the right in spite of the many obstacles she faced. How she courageously forged her way in a world full of misogyny, cultural and religious bias. How she intuitively and tenderly nurtured her daughter. A great read and very inspiring as a change agent.

Historia
We could all learn a thing or two about living in balance from our friends in the plant and animal kingdom. Take, for example, the jellyfish, one of the most energy-efficient animals in the world, moving through the ocean by contracting and relaxing, with frequent breaks in between. Or the avocado tree, which can credit its existence to a mutually beneficial relationship with the prehistoric sloth, followed by some hungry, hungry humans and the advent of agriculture.

Heartwarming and amazing
Revisado: 05-16-22
Rani Shah is a thoughtful mature deeply introspective author who cares not only about humankind but also about all the flora and fauna and the earth itself.
Her style is delightful while being full of the fascinating and amazing facts. She draws parallels from nature that each of us can apply to our own lives to live a richer fuller life with a more zen attitude.
I look forward to more works from her.
