Pretty simplistic story
Revisado: 04-23-24
The series was enjoyable even though not exactly the deepest story out there. If you’re looking for plain, uncomplicated, action, you’ll like this series. If you want in-depth character development and nuanced storytelling that will truly make you wonder what’ll happen next, look elsewhere.

Historia
The Yellowstone super-eruption has put an end to modern civilization. As cities and countries continue to fall, the colony of Rivendell in the alternate Earth known as Outland looks more and more like the only real hope for humanity. But life in Rivendell isn’t getting any simpler, either. Bill and Kevin continue to discover new worlds; the population continues to rise; winter is approaching; and everyone has their own opinion about how things should be run.

great story
Revisado: 06-10-23
loved the story. it was a good mix of action and drama. I think the people who are angry with the politics are just angry because they challenge their own views, and they find their views lacking.

Historia
Books and Bug are polar opposites, despite their friendship. Rumors on the road speak of a hospital in Washing D.C. Leading a small group of survivors, including pregnant women, the two travel in earnest to provide the soon-to-be mothers a safe place to deliver. Bug–a natural, charismatic leader–refuses to leave anyone behind while Books–a pragmatic social outsider–wishes not to be responsible for the safety of others. Together, they're exactly what this group needs to survive. But DC isn't exactly the safe haven they hoped for.

very disappointing
Revisado: 05-21-23
I was expecting a continuation of the original characters but this book has no connection to the original commune. The characters are bland and the story is outright boring. It was a slog to finish and I'm not sure I'll get there next book. I feel burned by the author. Extremely unhappy.

so great to have a good narrator
Revisado: 05-13-21
I love this story and was so disappointed when I started the first book. The narrator of that book ruined the story. So great to see that a new narrator was brought in for the rest of the series.

excellent story ruined by horrible narration
Revisado: 05-04-21
I read the first few books of this series on my kindle. Decided to start again with audible since I drive a lot for work now. I have to say that if I didn't already like the story, I would have returned the book and moved on. Not because of the story but because of the narrator.
I have never heard a more droning, inconsistent, unimaginative narrator in my life. The overall narration - intonation, emphasis, and style is a jumbled mess. The portrayal of the female characters is downright embarrassing. Breathy, sultry, soft spoken - that's the formula for every female character. He seems to forget which character he's reading and instead of redoing the dialog, he tried to transition in the middle of the line.
I can't believe this narration hasn't been replaced. I can't imagine how many sales not only this book has lost, but the whole series. The narration does this excellent story a complete disservice. It's a real shame. I'm glad they changed for the rest of the books but they should really redo this one too.

Historia
New York Times and number one Audible.com best-selling author Jeremy Robinson takes listeners on a journey that is not only action-packed, but full of scientific and philosophical intrigue. In his most mind-bending story since Infinite and Alter, Robinson blends genres, belief systems, and bold prose into an unputdownable tale exploring the nature of reality.

Too much religion
Revisado: 04-27-21
I knew there was a large "all mighty creator" component to this story but I thought it was going to be more about a fictional species than actual religion. This has too much god and jesus stuff (which I know is also fictional but I'm not a fan of that type of fantasy story).
RC was great. jeffrey not so much.

Historia
In the year 2243, the Moon belongs to the dead. The largest graveyard in the solar system, it was the perfect solution to the overcrowding and environmental problems that had plagued mankind for centuries. And the perfect place for Cali Washington to run away from her past. But when a mysterious meteor crashes into one of the Moon’s cemeteries, Cali and her fellow Caretakers find themselves surrounded by a terrifying enemy force that outnumbers them more than a thousand to one. An enemy not hindered by the lack of air or warmth or sustenance. An enemy that is already dead.
