Too Much Noise

I love this series and the original narrator was outstanding. I couldn’t finish this version. The background noise was unnecessary and the actors voices didn’t match the characters descriptions.

Speechless!

I have hundreds of books in my library - this has been the best series I’ve ever listened to. I laughed out loud and cried real tears. The narration was the best performance I’ve ever heard. Great writing and overall great listen. I wish every book could be as good. This will be the narration that I compare all books to and I hope I’ll be able to find other books of this quality. Any suggestions?

Ruined By Narrator!!!

I love this series and have read the entire series more than 15 times. I was so excited to see it on audible, but this narrator ruined it for me. She sounds tired and adds a really annoying lilt to the end of words. And all the characters sound the same - like goofy high schoolers, not hunky alien men. I would love to get all the other books in the series but only if there’s a new narrator.

Just The Worst!!!!

I will never buy another book by this author. I hate leaving bad reviews, but this truly deserves it.
Even a kid would not make the stupid decisions these two constantly made throughout this series. I only kept listening because I was hoping they would both get killed.

Did The Author Know???

Did the author know that Stephanie Rose was not a good fit to narrate this book? I loved the story but the female narration made it very hard to listen to. Troy Duran was excellent and helped me get through it.

Absolutely Gripping!

This was the darkest book I’ve ever read, but it was so gripping I couldn’t stop. The relationship between the two was deep and sometimes so deviant I had to shake my head. The narration was the best I’ve ever heard. Teddy and Michelle really brought the characters alive. Although this book was very dark, and I couldn’t listen to it again, it was a “Great Book”.

I wanted to like this book but couldn’t make it through 5 chapters. Her voice and cadence were so horrible I couldn’t listen to it any more.

Outstanding!!!

This series was so well done I couldn’t put it down. The narrators were great (there is a section where you could hear every time Susannah inhaled that was a little distracting). The story was unexpected and so different from any other Fae and Fairy stories I’ve read. I will be putting this author at the top of my must follow list.

Headache!!!

Though I’ve been able to suffer through this narrator before-not this time. Never again. All of the character voices were horrible, but the Penny voice was so annoying it gave me a headache. She sounded like a whiny idiot with a nasal infection. I had to quit at chapter 22 and buy the book to finish.

One of the best!!!

I’ve read almost all of K.F. Breene’s books, all fantastic. But this series was so gripping I listened to them all, only pausing to sleep. Every great story needs an excellent narrator and Khristine Hvam was brilliant! Of the thousands of books I’ve read, this series is in my top ten. Bravo Ms. Breene and Ms. Hvam, an excellent duo. . . WELL DONE!
