I hadn't read it before

Can't comment on the similarity to the original but this adaptation is charming not least because of the narrator. Austen's humour shines through as ever. A very neat story.

interesting with some vicarious trauma potential

Good but be prepared to yell 'physician heal thyself' repeatedly and roll your eyes at the many points where self justification takes precedence over necessary details.
If you have a special interest in forensic science and disaster planning this is a great listen. Also psychiatry.

Everything I had hoped and more

Caitlin's writing and performance were witty, insightful and at times deeply moving. My only complaint is that it wasn't longer, as it was just the right type of entertainment for my longer commutes.

Nothing earth-shattering. Perfectly of its genre.

Chances are if the title and cover illustration appeal then you will enjoy it. This is just about every cop/detective/pathologist vs killer tale ever written. Overplays the 'gritty realism' like they tend to, slut shaming and whorephobia get a disappointing airing but what can you do? Hardly a literary masterpiece but probably exactly what you're looking for if you're reading this review. I will be listening to the next one.

What made the experience of listening to Bad Pharma the most enjoyable?
So this broke my heart, but it is informative and reasoned and complete and gently worded and...you can't easily fault it, except that it will tell you things that you don't want to know.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
We don't know anything we think we know about drugs...and that is terrifying.
Any additional comments?
This is a harder ride than Bad Science, but it was worth it.
