Anyone considering Crowdfunding should read/listen
Revisado: 10-16-23
Mark‘s book is well written and well read. I believe anybody that is considering launching a new product with crowdfunding should definitely read this book. It has a wealth of information about the whole process. Of course, Mark focuses mainly on marketing, but that’s obviously his trade and why he focuses on that. But marketing is really where you need to concentrate on launching a new product. You can make the greatest widget in the world and if nobody knows about it or finds it, it will be a failure.
The book is broken out into the main tasks you need to complete to run a successful campaign. All of those steps are important, but the marketing parts are critical and covered the most in the book.
This is the first book I’ve read on crowdfunding, so I can’t compare it to others, but I feel it is certainly worth the price and the time. I’ve read many other marketing books and this is one of the better ones. Some are too long-winded and cover old topics in detail but the problem with a book is it’s never current. The details of marketing change too fast now, you have to concentrate on learning the concepts, which are evergreen.
