many have complained that it's too high for such a short book. I agree but if you purchase the Kindle book you get the option to get the audiobook at the same time for discounted price. I was able to purchase the Kindle book for $2.99 and get the audible for 7. so check to see if this option is still available if you want to get this book. but I think it helped a lot having that background information of how they met.

wish I had found it sooner

I'm pretty far along in the Mercy Thompson series and wished I had found this one sooner. cuz now I need to catch up. lol it was good learning more about Bran and Charles and their pack. definitely glad that I got the novella first. it gave a lot of good background.

likeable characters

I enjoyed the story. I've tried several in this kind of genre and in many of them the characters are just not likable. but I found that all the characters in this story were very likable and well written about. I felt like I got to know everyone and I'm interested in following the rest of their story.

Nick Redfern is one of my favorite authors. lots of information that I hadn't heard as well as more details on many cases I had heard. always an enjoyment to listen to one of his books.

I love this "world" and characters. Good starting story, I look forward to more in the series. The only thing was the narrator's chosen voice made the character sound too old. She was in her twenties but the voice sounded more grandmotherly. Would also be better with a little humor thrown in, seemed very serious all the time, but may have been the voice

havening seen the movies when I was younger it was great to read the book and get all the extra details that had to be cut out of the movie. The only thing I wish they had done different was if they had actually had a woman do the singing parts for the elves.

I thought it was an interesting story. The narrator did a good job to convey what the main character of that age would have been thinking and going through.

Luke Daniels did an amazing job as always. I enjoyed the separate stories especially since they were narrated by different characters filled in a lot of gaps between the novels.
