Historia
In rural, impoverished Burgoyne County, New York, a pattern of strange deaths begins to emerge: Adolescent boys and girls are found murdered, their corpses left hanging in gruesome, ritualistic fashion. Senior law enforcement officials are quick to blame a serial killer, but their efforts to apprehend this criminal are peculiarly ineffective.

Vulgarity Aside
Revisado: 10-10-16
If one ignores the gratuitous vulgarity, the story is good, if padded with distracting blabber. The performance was inspired.

Historia
Acclaimed biographer William Mann follows Elizabeth Taylor publicly as she makes her ascent at MGM, falls into (and out of) marriages, wins Oscars, fights studio feuds, and combats America's conservative values with her decidedly modern love affairs. But he also shines a light on Elizabeth's rich private life, revealing a love for her craft and a loyalty to the underdog that fueled her lifelong battle against the studio system.

Interesting... badly narrated
Revisado: 08-21-14
What did you like best about How to Be a Movie Star? What did you like least?
The information was clear and easy to follow, but the narration was terrible. If Mark Boyett was engaged to read the audio book, one would expect him know how to pronounce the names of places and persons correctly.
What did you like best about this story?
NA
Would you be willing to try another one of Mark Boyett’s performances?
NEVER!
Could you see How to Be a Movie Star being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
NA

Dreadful Book
Revisado: 03-04-14
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
This book could have received a better review if it was better written and performed... in short, a different book.
What was most disappointing about Clive Cussler’s story?
It was a formulaic, banal series of ridiculous "adventures" featuring wisecracking characters as believable as the Little Mermaid.
How could the performance have been better?
The "wistful" character of the narrator's voice was annoying.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
No.
