I loved how we didn’t have to wait for the passion! The relationship was massaged so well that their connection intensified as their love developed. We were right there and I felt like I was going to burst all through this! Wow was he a beast!! He was terrifying yet sexy. He was misunderstood and matched. She was a pleasure to read. I enjoyed how this sweet unassuming little thang was also a beast. This was a pleasure💕

This man was heart centered and had such an internal sweetness and beauty it’s hard not to want him to win. He’s is hall of fame, even Mount Rushmore of book boyfriends! The selflessness and empathy he had in his life decisions while still being flawed made his so endearing. I loved this story 💕

What a pleasure it was reading this book and enjoying their ups and downs then back up again! Everyone read like they were gorgeous even baby daddy!! It was so sweet and sexy. This book gave me all that I love in a Black romance. The bestie was annoying and took the attention in her most important moments.

Cries, tears, more crying then she cried again

The FMC cried so much, I’m barely able to comment on the book. I liked the story and concept. However, just as I sank into it, the FMC would cry. While it’s an expression of emotion that is ok and natural, it was excessive. I’m a crier too but jeez. It almost seemed as if she was too immature to respond to an intimate or sweet moment any other way. On to the next book from this author. I refuse to let this book simmer in my mental library 📚 of her books.

As a football fan I loved all of the details. I could see each play so clearly and the emotions during the victories and upsets were exactly on point! This was such a sweet love story! I kinda want to read it again.

Every character was amazing! I even loved the darkness of the antagonist. This reminds me of Parable of the Sower and I ate this up like it was dinner.

I just didn’t like the FMC

The FMC was so unlikable I stopped caring about the story. Every time her best friend spoke, I’d hear the theme song for the Popeyes commercial. Oh well, you won’t love every book.

She’s NOT fine!

I really enjoy other books by this author but this book the FMC droned on and on and on and on about being mistreated then complained to the new guy about his good treatment. Jeez! Other than her new guy fixing her problems and screwing her, it’s hard to see how the love developed.
I’ll still read another book from this author because her other works are awesome.
The male narrator’s female voice is something to hear. Both have great read
