Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely, I would recommend this audiobook. I've read the print version, but I enjoy listening to the story. It puts a different light on the story.

What did you like best about this story?

This book in dark and twisty - just the way it should be.

What does Stephen King bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I loved hearing what he probably heard in his head as he wrote the book.

Who was the most memorable character of Needful Things and why?

For me it's a three-way tie for Brian, Polly, and Mr. Gaunt. All the characters in this book are wonderfully formed, but they just stick in my brain. It's been months and it's almost like they are real people I used to know.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Help to be better than the print version?

I have not read the actual print version. This book is so great though that I think I would love the print version just as much!

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Help?

One of the most memorable moments for me was, of course, "the pie".

What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

These narrators were wonderful. They brought the book into color and 3D for me. Their accents, laughs, and inflections in general were top notch. I was a little scared at first by the number of narrators, but they all were very talented. Most narrators are just OK, but I throughly enjoyed listening to these gals.

Any additional comments?

I will listen again - it's that good. I laughed out loud quite a few times looking like the crazy lady with my headphones in. Give it a try - you won't be disappointed.

Wonderful story line - narrator not for me!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, I would (and have) recommended it to numerous people. This is one of the best series I have read. Normally I would expect that the story gets a little dull by the 3rd book, but this one kept me on my toes. I actually listened to the whole thing in one day!

What other book might you compare Mockingjay to and why?

There is no comparison to this book. It's the only series I have thoroughly enjoyed since King's DT series.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

I didn't like her voices for the characters, they all seemed one in the same to me.

Any additional comments?

I think I may not have liked the narrator due to the fact that I actually read the first two books in this series myself. My voices in my head for the characters were very different.
