Historia
Eighteen-year-old Celaena Sardothien is bold, daring and beautiful - the perfect seductress and the greatest assassin her world has ever known. But though she won the king’s contest and became his champion, Celaena has been granted neither her liberty nor the freedom to follow her heart. Celaena faces a choice that is tearing her to pieces: kill in cold blood for a man she hates or risk sentencing those she loves to death.

Ridiculous Plot.
Revisado: 12-21-24
A poor excuse to write explicit material. No story development. The readers did ok, with the material they had to work with. But they can only carry the book so far. Weak character development.

Historia
One of William Faulkner’s finest novels, As I Lay Dying, originally published in 1930, remains a captivating and stylistically innovative work. The story revolves around a grim yet darkly humorous pilgrimage, as Addie Bundren’s family sets out to fulfill her last wish: to be buried in her native Jefferson, Mississippi, far from the miserable backwater surroundings of her married life.

Historia
Shocking and controversial when it was first published in 1939, Steinbeck's Pulitzer prize-winning epic The Grapes of Wrath remains his undisputed masterpiece. Set against the background of Dust Bowl Oklahoma and Californian migrant life, it tells of Tom Joad and his family, who, like thousands of others, are forced to travel west in search of the promised land. Their story is one of false hopes, thwarted desires, and broken dreams, yet out of their suffering Steinbeck created a drama that is intensely human, yet majestic in its scale and moral vision.

A Poetic Pirate Tale
Revisado: 10-04-23
It was if the reader plucked the words from the pages and painted a picture on a canvass. The story itself was pure romance in an authentically French style. I could actually feel the emotions of each character and relate to the heroine's plight. I haven't enjoyed a book more than this one. Finally a reader who was able to give the words the justice they so richly deserve. Well done!!!

Historia
The modern audience hasn't had a chance to truly appreciate the unknowing dread that readers would have felt when reading Bram Stoker's original 1897 manuscript. Most modern productions employ campiness or sound effects to try to bring back that gothic tension, but we've tried something different. By returning to Stoker's original storytelling structure - a series of letters and journal entries voiced by Jonathan Harker, Dr. Van Helsing, and other characters - with an all-star cast of narrators, we've sought to recapture its originally intended horror and power.

To Read or Not to Read
Revisado: 02-12-23
Dracula is a great classic book that was well written, and has a beautiful story.
I was, however, disappointed in the fact that Tim Curry was listed as one of the headline readers, and yet he had a minuscule part of the actual script. I think that was very misleading. I chose this book because he was featured as one of the readers and I thought he would do a spectacular job. But alas, he was rarely there. So if you are a true Tim Curry fan, do not listen to this book, hoping to hear him read. The other readers did a great job.
