Historia
Donald Trump will be president again, whether he is on the ballot or not. That is because Trumpism is overtaking the Republican Party and will mount a vigorous comeback, potentially in the hands of a savvier successor. This prophecy will come true, according to Miles Taylor, if we do not learn the lessons of the recent past. With the 2024 election approaching, the formerly “Anonymous” official is back with bombshell revelations and a sobering national forecast. Taylor predicts what could happen inside “Trump 2.0,” the White House of a more competent and more formidable copycat.

Historia
A resident of one of LA's toughest neighborhoods uses his blistering intellect to solve the crimes the LAPD ignores. East Long Beach. The LAPD is barely keeping up with the neighborhood's high crime rate. Murders go unsolved, lost children unrecovered. But someone from the neighborhood has taken it upon himself to help solve the cases the police can't or won't touch. They call him IQ. He's a loner and a high school dropout, his unassuming nature disguising a relentless determination and a fierce intelligence.

Historia
Not too long ago, Brandon Johnson was virtually unknown to many Chicagoans. Now, he’s the 57th mayor of America’s third-largest city. His path to power, fueled by a markedly progressive campaign, was pretty unusual. Before taking the helm of Chicago, he was a school teacher, union organizer and county commissioner. Johnson, who lives on the West Side, has experienced his share of some of the city’s biggest issues. But perhaps one of his biggest challenges still lies ahead: leading the city amidst the numerous inherited issues including growing public safety concerns, persistent ...

Work as a Mayor is the hardest but political job, says Hayes
Revisado: 06-17-23
Chris Hayes having lived in Chicago can speak with factual authority on the good side and the bad part of the city. As with everything Hayes has interest in knowing, and his guests, he provides such excellent discussion and knowledge of them as well.

As always, Chris Hayes serves up a brilliant and timely podcast
Revisado: 05-21-23
Without a doubt, this highly educated, extremely well read, humble, yet highly expressive man on a Cable News Network and in podcasts, and other projects is a blessing to this country. He is one of the very best anyone could listen to to get facts and good opinions, good solid opinions. Paying attention and trying to keep up with what this man says, as well as other colleagues he has is like attending a university class. They’re all professors of a sort. They are what we need to be listening to, and watching to hear important facts and opinions, and then think for ourselves, and sort it out.

Hate crimes. Misinformation and conspiracy theories. Foiled white-supremacist plots. The signs of growing far-right extremism are all around us, and communities across America and around the globe are struggling to understand how so many people are being radicalized and why they are increasingly attracted to violent movements. Hate in the Homeland shows how tomorrow's far-right nationalists are being recruited in surprising places, from college campuses and mixed martial arts gyms to clothing stores, online gaming chat rooms, and YouTube cooking channels.

Every day without fail, Travis Devine puts on a cheap suit, grabs his faux-leather briefcase, and boards the 6:20 commuter train to Manhattan, where he works as an entry-level analyst at the city’s most prestigious investment firm. In the mornings, he gazes out the train window at the lavish homes of the uberwealthy, dreaming about joining their ranks. In the evenings, he listens to the fiscal news on his phone, already preparing for the next grueling day in the cutthroat realm of finance. Then one morning Devine’s tedious routine is shattered by an anonymous email: She is dead.

Another Baldacci winner!
Revisado: 04-22-23
Really good story. Intrigue and action nonstop. To fully enjoy these types of adventures readers must learn to suspend some amount of disbelief. Then it is much more enjoyable, instead of being overly critical and demanding. It is not so hard to immerse oneself into such clever dialogue and writing. Character voices great and narration just right. Could say a whole lot more about the beautiful insight into humanity Baldacci always has, as most excellent authors have. The extremely interesting plot twists at the end of this book are masterful. Just an excellent audiobook all around!

This classic deserves better
- De Matthew Salvo en 07-01-21
No one could ask for anything more. “Space opera” indeed!
Revisado: 03-24-23
Character voices so skilled and acted out so well. Narrators pleasing, easy listen. Periodic background electronic, ambient, non-percussive music is elegant, not distracting at all, but an enhancement and perfect mood setting to the story at that point. Even better are the quite frequent, distant environmental / wind sounds totally adding to all of the voices that bring this book alive. Quiet voice-only passages are the most dominant throughout - simple, enjoyable story telling that provides the basic pleasure.
And of course, there is the classic sci-fi, mind-expanding writing of Frank Herbert! Asking for more or better is pointless, and simply misses the idea and actual experience of an excellent audiobook listen.

Every subject exploration on bio electricity is so extremely well discussed and each chapter concludes another area of a beginning understanding for the lay reader. The author narrates and is such an excellent writer as well as a fun, capable narrator with many witticisms she brings you along and continually peaks your interest. Totally fascinating!
