I was one of those women! I remember working so hard to keep my guys alive. Dead tired. Unable to sleep! So hot! A long long year. my family wrote all the time. birthdays x8, summer vacation. every holiday. 'The Women' took every feeling & emotion and brought them to life again. Great book.

The idea of gaining a day for removal of something from the world was uniquely presented. On day one it was a shock, but quickly was not his choice by day two. Cabbage helped him go full circle in his life so peace and tranquility would remain and he knew the value of his Dads quiet life and his own.

I had no idea until well into this book how acquainted people can be doubly interfaced in a secret life.

love the readers accent and all the different voices. it was easy to follow. The book flowed between a circle of friends and spouses, until one day at a birthday party things began to unravels. very twisted to the last sentance!!

their CHILDHOOD wasn't totally shared.

I loved it. the two narrators had similar voices and it was sometimes difficult to tell which sister was remembering. so many contributing factors to Kit and her sisters relationship plus their age difference made the story so interesting. like two strangers that each shared a mermaid tattoo.
