Historia
After a long and eventful life, Allan Karlsson ends up in a nursing home, believing it to be his last stop. The only problem is that he's still in good health, and in one day, he turns 100. A big celebration is in the works, but Allan really isn't interested (and he'd like a bit more control over his vodka consumption). So he decides to escape. He climbs out the window in his slippers and embarks on a hilarious and entirely unexpected journey, involving, among other surprises, a suitcase stuffed with cash.

Wow! Lots of stories converge to spectacular ending.
Revisado: 01-18-24
You will NOT regret buying this book, it is phenomenal! The narration was right on for me, that alone makes the listen worthwhile. But each of Alan’s adventures culminates in the most spectacular ways imaginable. Thanks s was really well written. I added to my favorites and I highly recommend!
Alan is an old man on his 100th birthday when we meet him escaping for an old folks home. His quick wits get him away on a train and from there he begins to create the most amount of trouble an unassuming old man can, by silly stealing a briefcase just to blend in and make his getaway.
Everyone he meets gives life to a new story that I promise will all tie together in the end. This is one of the funnest listens that I have listened to up to this point.

Historia
In Three Felonies a Day, Harvey A. Silverglate reveals how federal criminal laws have become dangerously disconnected from the English common law tradition and how prosecutors can pin arguable federal crimes on any one of us, for even the most seemingly innocuous behavior. The volume of federal crimes in recent decades has increased well beyond the statute books and into the morass of the Code of Federal Regulations, handing federal prosecutors an additional trove of vague and exceedingly complex and technical prohibitions to stick on their hapless targets.

Content was good, didn’t enjoy narration for this title.
Revisado: 06-07-23
I really struggled to listen to this and I fact wish I had and probably will buy physical book. The content was eye opening and and relevant as of 6/7/23. The narration for this was unusually dull and could have made the book so much better. This title took me 5-6 months to get through because of the narration. Finally I increased the speed and that made it so much better but still not great.

Absolutely a Master Performance!
Revisado: 09-01-22
Bill Homewood was amazing at bringing this old story to life in a riveting and enthralling manner. His tones and delivery were superb!
One of the oldest stories about Love, Betrayal, Disparagement, Rebirth, Cunning, Intrigue and playing the long game to achieve animalistic desire!
I have wanted to reread this for so many years and all 52 hours were a joy to listen to!
I highly recommend this to anyone! Although you may want a crash course in French just for clarity on some issues. I had 2 yrs in high school and a yr in college and that was more than sufficient.

Good story, well told up to pre-trial.
Revisado: 09-13-21
First off, Epstein is disgusting and so is Maxwell! I hope it makes it to trial so that more pigs are shamed and indicted.
Pretty good reporting and the pace was good, took me about three days to finish ( which is good for me). I like that she kept good notes and she references them often. Gave a feeling of authenticity. Also , she talks about the scandal between her and the Farmer women ( which I thought was brave and admirable.
My only real issue 4/5 stars was the man bashing. I fully stand behind women and especially children that are abused and victimized; however, both men and women are manipulative and at the end of the day each individual is responsible for their independent actions. Maxwell shouldn’t be defended as being manipulated, she (seemingly) is a monster of unimaginable scale. For a grown woman to stand by and let these things happen is inexcusable. To hold the hand of a young girl pretending to sleep while he was prepared to do who knows what… Individuals are responsible for their actions and she should be held to account. Me were, no doubt guilty in this story, but so was she, so no need for the man-bashing, women can do no wrong stance in this instance, (or any other for that matter).
But as for everything else, I thought it was easy to follow, exciting enough to keep the listener engaged, and paced appropriately to get through the dramatic events with reverence and sentiment.
I would highly recommend this to true crime aficionados and the like, or anyone mildly interested in power brokers throughout the world but mostly of America. Give it a listen, I think you’ll find it appealing.

Historia
One typical Friday morning in February 1997, two masked men dressed in body armor and carrying automatic rifles burst into the Bank of America in North Hollywood, California and started shooting. They forced customers to the ground, stuffed hundreds of thousands of dollars into a duffel bag and exited out the back…where they were surrounded by police. For the next 44 minutes, the armed robbers and police engaged in a deadly gunfight.

Revisado: 09-09-21
I remember this happened while training to be a Military Policeman. It was big news then but I had admittedly forgotten about it. I thought this was a great listen and it forced me to look up footage so the amazing audio descriptions. I really enjoyed this podcast. The narration was great and the true story was fantastic. Hearing from the actual participants was great. I hadn’t ever heard anything about the people I snide the bank so the was all thrilling and new. I highly recommend giving this a listen. It would be hard to imagine anyone that enjoys true crime not liking this. You won’t be disappointed and it’s free right now 9/9/21 (gearing up for round two of the CoViD pandemic).

Very well read
Revisado: 12-04-20
This was a great history of the gene. I did more details about things that were just glossed over in under grad lectures.
The pace very nice and the book is well researched. I recommend to anyone, not just scientist or those with an interest in science.
It really is (mostly basic information) easy to follow and it is explained well as you progress through the book.

Only facts here folks!
Revisado: 12-01-20
Dan and crew always bring a great show with lots of "actual data, facts, things that can be or have been proven" that make you think and challenge what you're hearing/reading elsewhere. There are limited sponsor interruptions ("time to pay for the show") that last about a minute. Also I have been interested in the sponsorship Dan gets, and have taken advantage of the discount provided.
Always interesting, thought provoking, and up to date analysis. The Dan Bongino show is entertaining and enlightening. I highly recommend!
