I wish more people knew about Brianna Labuskes and her incredible thrillers. She is just amazing and her books are intricately plotted, super smart, and absolutely thrilling. My favorite are the Dr Gretchen ones, but I love these new Raisa Sutanto books too! You can't go wrong with anything by her!

brilliant YA thriller!

I really loved this one from Ellie Marney! Love how she goes back to the 80s and the early days of the FBI's profiling unit. The characters are all fantastic and I can't wait to go on the next thrilling journey with them in the sequel! With respect to the audio specifically, I like how they used different voice actors and especially how some of the chapters were duet performance with both actors speaking in conversation. Excellent all around, highly recommend!!

Excellent YA fantasy!

This was an amazing YA fantasy centered around the myths of King Arthur and the Isle of Avalon. I love an Arthur-related retelling and this was fantastic! The ending has me dying for book 2 now!

incredible narrators!

This was my first read by Carly Spade, but it definitely won’t be my last! I’ve seen her books recommended by many friends on bookstagram, but hadn’t picked one up yet, until this tour opportunity popped up. I’m so glad I joined, because I am now joining the Carly Spade fan club! I had so much fun reading this time-traveling, portal-hopping friends-to-lovers romance featuring Aphrodite, the goddess of love, and her childhood best friend, Hephaistos, the god of the forge. The chemistry between the two was off the charts and the banter was so much fun! Honestly, I laughed out loud so many times while reading, and I love it when a romance can make me both swoon and unabashedly laugh.
I actually listened to this one on audiobook; I hadn’t yet used my February credit for Audible, so I snagged this and dove in. The narrators were excellent, and just wait until you hear Heph’s voice, oh my gosh! It was also done differently than in other audiobooks I’ve heard and I really liked it; the male narrator did Heph’s voice even in Aphrodite’s POV chapters (as well as other male voices), and the female narrator did Ro’s voice in Heph’s POV chapters. I just really liked that because you felt even more like they were actually bantering and conversing with one another. If you enjoy audiobooks, I *highly* recommend grabbing this one on audio!
I recommend this to any fan of exquisite, humorous banter, friends to lovers, gods and goddesses living among us mere mortals, and adorable bunny rabbits (IYKYK). Seriously, any fan of romance and rom-com should pick this up!

Sure, I hate how everyone was over the moon about her TikTok fame. And I suppose I got a little bit carried away with vengeance when she tried to ruin my life. But seriously, when my friend gave me that leather journal, I’d never had so much power in my life. It was intoxicating. Who wouldn’t have done what I did to Eva? Now everyone thinks that just because she vanished in the forest after a party, that I killed her. That the blood on the jackets is proof. Or the text messages. The slightly weird thing I had with Eva's dad. The fire.

Loved the multi-cast narration. I listened to the entire thing in one sitting! Great look at the unique pressures social media places on our teens and young adults (and adults, to be honest), and how they deal with that. Also includes insightful look at family dynamics and relationships, and the different ways in which sometimes children end up parenting their parents (as well as toxic parents).

I am so glad I listened to the audio for this instead of just reading the book! I'm sure I would've loved it anyway, but listening to the author read her own story, and the care that was put into making phone calls and taped segments sound like actual phone calls and tape recordings, was just *chef's kiss*. I cannot recommend this audiobook highly enough!

I started this audio this morning after dropping off my son at school, and was finished just before time to get in the car to go pick him up. Once I started I just couldn't stop!! I'd read the authors second book last month and had been wanting to try this one, and it was just as fantastic. The narrators we're great, and I liked that they had different people for the alternating chapter POVs. Overall an excellent read/listen, highly recommend this one!
