Enjoyable read. It took me a minute to get used to the uppity voice of the male characters. They sounded too polished (masculine) for me. The narrator was easy to listen to, but I just wanted more strength of voice. I did enjoy the storyline very much.

Historia
Rowley Knight, Duke of Knighton, is too busy being a duke to bother with such nonsense as love. With three heirs, he is in no hurry whatsoever to succumb to the lures of the leg-shackles. He is content managing his siblings and estates, and avoiding society whenever possible. If he can only find someone to manage his young sister, life can go back to its proper order.

Storyline was enjoyable. This is a shorter novel than I’m used to but characters were well written. Narration was good. I recommend for a short read.

Tall, dark, and brooding - to say that American Maxwell Crenshaw stood out in the glittering ballrooms of London is an understatement. He vowed never to set foot in England again, but when a summons from his father along with an ultimatum to secure his legacy has him crossing the Atlantic for the last time, reuniting him with the delectable Lady Helena March, he can't deny the temptation she presents. Or the ideas she inspires....

This was not one of my favorites of the series. The FMC was written pretty stiffly and only somewhat likable. The MMC seemed pretty weak as far as strong men type from that era. Hoping the next installment renews my attention. I did like the inclusion of previous characters.

Historia
American heiress August Crenshaw has aspirations. But unlike her peers, it isn't some stuffy British lord she wants wrapped around her finger - it's Crenshaw Iron Works, the family business. When it's clear that August's outrageously progressive ways render her unsuitable for a respectable match, her parents offer up her younger sister to the highest entitled bidder instead. This simply will not do. August refuses to leave her sister to the mercy of a loveless marriage.

Enjoyable read. Characters were average. Plot line was tried and true. I liked the FMC and her sister’s spunk. The feelings between the main characters seemed rushed and I like it a little more in depth, recommend for a light easy read.

His passport read Giovanni Rossi. But decades ago, during the Urban Wars, he was part of a small, secret organization called The Twelve. Responding to an urgent summons from an old compatriot, he landed in New York and eased into the waiting car. And died within minutes… Lieutenant Eve Dallas finds the Rossi case frustrating. She’s got an elderly victim who’d just arrived from Rome; a widow who knows nothing about why he’d left; an as-yet unidentifiable weapon; and zero results on facial recognition.

Enjoyable storyline. Interesting tidbits regarding the past life of Sommerset are forefront. I liked the secondary characters and hope to see more of them in future novels. Con - it wrapped out too quickly and the inclusion of the final crime by the perp was quite frivolous to cause his capture. From his past experience, I would’ve expected more.

Historia
Everyone expected Violet Sorrengail to die during her first year at Basgiath War College-Violet included. But Threshing was only the first impossible test meant to weed out the weak-willed, the unworthy, and the unlucky. Now the real training begins, and Violet’s already wondering how she’ll get through. It’s not just that it’s grueling and maliciously brutal, or even that it’s designed to stretch the riders’ capacity for pain beyond endurance. It’s the new vice commandant, who’s made it his personal mission to teach Violet exactly how powerless she is–unless she betrays the man she loves.

READ THIS SERIES! This novel is completely living up to the hype - Shocker! Normally I find myself completely disappointed in hyped books but nope not this one. It is the perfect blend of drama, romance, betrayal, action, and resilience. I’m not normally a fan of the enemies to lovers, but this is amazingly enthralling.
I refuse to put spoilers in this review. You have to experience it. All I can say is DAMN - I want a Xaden. Imagine every MMC with a bad boy twist that you’ve fallen in love with and poof - Xaden.
Dragons! Awesome personality filled badass Dragons. I want a Tairn and a Sgaeyl. Sgaeyl is my spirit dragon.
Supporting characters that you NEED to know more about. Villains that you are dying to see die.
Prepare to only hydrate and feed yourself. It’s hard to put this one down for trivial tasks like routine daily activities 😂.
A definite must read. Do yourself a favor and immerse yourself in this series. You won’t be sorry!

Historia
Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general—also known as her tough-as-talons mother—has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders. But when you’re smaller than everyone else and your body is brittle, death is only a heartbeat away...because dragons don’t bond to “fragile” humans. They incinerate them.
