Insightful and personal

This is a wonderful book full of touching and insightful personal anecdotes from someone wading the murky waters of just trying to get by as an artist and a human being. Written mostly like an auto biography, it's chalk full of lessons for further contemplation on how the author's experiences translate into universal struggles we all experience. I love the musical interludes and the fact that Amanda Palmer reads the work herself using her authentic voice. No stuffy audio book narration here, you get a real voice sharing real experiences in a way that sounds like she's personally telling you her tale over a coffee table. Sometimes this means that she drops her voice down quietly for emphasis as one naturally does when telling an important part of a story, though I sometimes had to back it up and turn up the volume to get that one critical word. That's really my only complaint, but it's more of an advisory to new listeners rather than a true complain. I'd love to have more audio books read with this natural of a speaking voice more often.
In short, this book had me laughing and also had me in tears as I felt the authenticity with which it was written. It's a beautiful work for anyone learning to let their guard down and ask for help, and especially validating for artists. Extra especially for anyone who has been a street artist!

This short book gives you the basics of Welsh in an effective and efficient way, taking as little time as possible. You can use it if you're a complete beginner, or as a revision aid if you're already on the road to fluency. Or maybe if you just find yourself in a rut, and would like a bit of help moving on. The idea is simple; by spending around an hour on this book, with breaks in between chapters, you should be able to master a very simple form of Welsh.
