A great book to sleep through.
Revisado: 07-26-12
What disappointed you about Dominion?
The Narrator had a mono-tone that truly aides in sleep. It felt like the story didn't want to go anywhere, circling the same character/idea and not taking them anywhere.

Would you try another book from Jonathan Kellerman and/or John Rubinstein?
I am a big Jonathan Kellerman fan but this book could not hold my interest. It started off with action but took several chapters to tie the action into the story. I had to force myself to finish. Telling myself it would get better.

Historia
We enter The Last Precinct through the reverberating aftershocks of Black Notice, inconceivably finding Virginia's Chief Medical Examiner, Kay Scarpetta, an object of suspicion and criminal investigation. The nightmare on Scarpetta's doorstep continues as she discovers that the so-called Werewolf murders may have extended to New York City and into the darkest corners of her past.

Cornwell Does it Again, Almost
Revisado: 07-26-12
Where does The Last Precinct rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This book ranks around 15 out of 25. The story was a little slow, and there was a lot of extemporaneous information given. If you could edit out the "dead wood" you would have a much more riveting storyline.
What did you like best about this story?
Kay Scarpetta herself. She is the whole reason I read her adventures. Her thought processes and willingness to act keep me coming back for more.
Have you listened to any of Kate Reading’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Kate Reading brings the characters to life. I will definitely look for more of her work.

Historia
The year is 1772, and the rift between Britain and its American colonies has put a frightening word into the minds of all concerned: revolution. In the backwoods of North Carolina, violence has already reared its ugly head, as cabins have been burned to the ground. To preserve the colony for King George III, the governor pleads with Jamie to bring the people together and restore peace. But Jamie has the privilege, although some might call it a burden, of knowing that war cannot be avoided.

The year is 1771. Claire Randall is still an outlander, out of place and out of time. But now she is linked by love to her only anchor - Jamie Fraser. They have crossed oceans and centuries to build a life together in North Carolina. But tensions, both ancient and recent, threaten members of their clan.
