I can't bring myself to not finish a series. so I tortured myself, listening to them all, hoping for this to get better. it didn't. Sad because the trysmoon series by this author is my favorite of all time.

Poor storytelling all around. world building sucks, character building sucks, story sucks. even the magic powers that people have suck.

Also, you know those ahitty moments in movies where the character does he glaringly stupid thing ? Literally every chapter there is a moment like that.

200+ titles in my audible and this is the first that I absolutely cannot recommend.

it's really sad what's happened to this series... this book felt like that perfect school report you had. concise, had all relevant information. but the teacher said you need 20 pages and you only have 4. so you just bs the extra 16 pages.

what a poor end to a trilogy

I loved the first two books. this however was not worth any time. after the first two hours I had to force myself to finish the rest of the book.

lack of interesting information. failure to follow plot lines. no character love. stupid decisions. boring side stories.

Starts good, then tapers off

First book of two start strong, however the bland dialog and poor character development drag the story into the ground. By the third book I was practically forcing myself to listen in hopes it would get better. To anyone reading this, it doesn't I listened all the way through. Some good moments, but they arnt worth the hours of bland writing.

Also the infatuation and sexual conduct of a grown adult and a teenager is pretty gross. It lends nothing to the overall story except to make the main character into a pedo.

The audio performance of the book is really great, so there's that!

The gods monologue was incredibly boring.

Couldn't stand the over detailed unnecessary monologue in the Gods section. Similar to x's monologue in the galaxy edge. Very boring, overly detailed and doesn't lend much to the story. Felt like filler. The Legion section was great though!

Book starts at chapter four.

The first 24 chapters are remarkably drab. There is no direction or overall plot. Just a long drawn out drama about some of the books heros on vacation. It's like one of those random ass filler episodes everyone hates.

After chapter 24, the action picks back up and we get what we came for! So either skip straight there or hold out!
