Historia
Devon and Tanner fight like...well, cats and dogs. Which makes sense, since hellcats and hellhounds aren't exactly a match made in heaven. Unfortunately, their demons' antipathy towards each other is matched only by the red-hot sexual tension between Tanner and Devon. It's driving them - and their long-suffering friends Harper and Knox - mad. When Devon is nearly kidnapped, Tanner's protective instincts kick into overdrive - he's sticking by her side, day and night. But staying so close means their hunger can no longer be denied....

Still can’t stand the reader’s voice
Revisado: 09-17-24
I stomached it for the first five audiobooks because they were free. But I have to know the rest of it. Guess I’ll just have to read the rest of the series, here on out.

Historia
With the birth of their son Asher, Harper and Knox are both more powerful and more vulnerable than they've ever been before. Asher's charm has seduced even the devil himself, but Harper knows that the real villain is still out there and as desperate as ever to see the Primes fall. They're laying low, and there's no way to tell which one of their circle is really a deadly foe. When the final horseman makes their move, Harper and Knox will have to use all the considerable power at their disposal.

Love the story
Revisado: 09-11-24
Just can't stand the narrator. But to each their own. Some of her pronunciations of words made me cringe. I apologize but I don't remember what they were. I knew I should've written them down but well, ya guessed it. I forgot. I also don't think her voice is right for the sex scenes, which frankly I need less of. I tire at how controlling Knox is. Harper must really love him because I'd be so annoyed. I wouldn't be able to deal with that much of a controlling person. I do love how Harper puts him in his place and points out his double standards. And he accepts her being right. A good sign for a relationship. Even though the bastard is a control freak. I know this is the fourth book in the series but I just can't stand someone that needs that much control. She's already proven she can handle her stuff and when she needs help, she does call for it, albeit too late at times. I might appear to dislike the series but I truly love the premise, the action and excitement. I did guess the villains. And called a lot of things but I won't spoil it. Can't wait to listen to the next read.

As always, an absolute gem of a story
Revisado: 07-16-24
I didn’t care much for the reader BUT she wasn’t all too horrible. She did fine. I just didn’t think her voice fit with this story. She kind of gave me a granny vibe? Like my grandmother was reading this story to me and well, made me feel a bit ick during the love scenes. But as I mentioned, she wasn’t horrible. Story was excellent as all of Harper Bliss’s books I’ve listened or read, are. The men in these womens’ lives always seem so understanding. Makes it all the better for a fantasy love story. Not fantasy as in the genre but as if a woman questioning her sexual after an amicable divorce can fantasize about.

A queen now in exile as a traitor, Lara has watched Ithicana be conquered by her own father, helpless to do anything to stop the destruction. And it is bait she fully intends to take. Risking her life to the Tempest Seas, Lara returns to Ithicana with a plan not only to free its king, but for liberating the Bridge Kingdom from her father’s clutches using his own weapons: the sisters whose lives she spared.

Performance was lacking
Revisado: 10-27-23
If it weren’t for the storyline, this audio would be shite! I’m not exactly sure who edited this but the performances were so unconvincing! I was baffled! I thought I was listening to a parody whenever someone got shot. Examples? The very beginning. So lackadaisically performed. And I rated it accordingly. Overall? 5 stars because the story was amazing. Performance? 3 stars because of the 3-5 performers that were actually convincing and acting as if they were on tv and we could see their faces. Story? 5 stars because as I said before, amazing. Had me on my toes what.

Historia
His vengeance against the gods of Olympus years behind him, Kratos now lives as a man in the realm of Norse gods and monsters. It is in this harsh, unforgiving world that he must fight to survive...and teach his son to do the same. This startling reimagining of God of War deconstructs the core elements that defined the series - satisfying combat, breathtaking scale, and a powerful narrative - and fuses them anew.

Not as good as a read than playing the game
Revisado: 05-30-23
But it sufficed. Sort of like watching the movie instead of reading the book. You don’t get the whole feel of it. The narrator did great. But as I listen, the way the book is written, you don’t really feel the suspense when the Draugr, dragons, ogres, Gods etc come to fight Kratos and Atreus. And it’s not really explained well as to why Kratos was so hesitant to reveal Atreus’ nature. It’s explained well enough later but I didn’t really feel what Kratos felt and I know what he felt because I’ve played the games.

That’s all I have to say! This book is super good! Narrator, superb. Storyline, perfect. (Although, in the real world, not exactly sure if this story could actually happen but who’s to say?) It was an absolute adorable story.

Historia
Forty-something Defiance Dayne only recently discovered she comes from a long line of powerful witches. Added to that was the teensy, infinitesimal fact that she is what's called a charmling. One of three on the entire planet. And there are other witches who will stop at nothing to steal her immense power, which would basically involve her unfortunate and untimely death.

So, I didn’t care for the first 3…

novellas until the end of each one. It’s probably because there was more explanations to the world of the kinsmen than I cared for, although I understand it necessary to give us the background. Each of those stories didn’t get to the action until the end. Which was fine; I enjoyed them either way. Fated Blades was exciting from beginning to end while providing abundant information to the kinsmen world. And I’m going to leave it at that because I don’t want to give any spoilers.
