So with or without the narration I get an Edna Mode vibe from Luna and I kinda absolutely love thinking of her like that. It has made her so much better a character to me

Stop giving the Performance 5 stars

Look I am not usually about giving bad reviews but with it being so prominent in the book as a supporting character the narrator needs to learn how to pronounce marquis mar•kee I sincerely doubt it was supposed to sound that much like Marcus mar•cus but the narrator is clearly saying mar•qwiss... and sometimes when the main character is talking or interacting with the supporting marquis it is VERY confusing, and it shouldn't be, this is NOT a fault of the writing but of the diction

I have become so very invested in this series, it is kind of ruining my life a little. I should be doing so many other things but all I am doing is listening to Jake doing jake stuff while one of the best written overpowered characters ever just sometimes pops in like a wonderfully meta commentary. I truly love how the author wrote Villy, is he a primordial god? Yes, but also so much more, he is funny, witty, and again just one of the best parts of the series that just adds to Jake and showing more of his unique character that so few get to see. I am already getting the next in this series and recommend the same. This isn't the best in the series but that is like a Rank E saying anything about any Rank C, there may be a difference between this book and the others but that doesn't make this one less good

I like it, but as it has been stated some of the introspection drags on and seems misplaced, unless you were going for overthinking MC

A bit annoying

The MC picks some weird battles to stand up for, like an obvious canine calling another female a bitch, this is relatively elementary, as in I learned that being the proper name of a female dog being a bitch in grade school, but several times the MC goes to arms about it..... Why? Why is this his battle, why does he choose this to be the thing he goes all mental about, I appreciate the effort in this book but the "I'm a virgin MC" thing eh, it got boring super super fast....

I want to like it

I really want to like this story I really really want to but a character with no real personal progression is lazy and disengenious, the one step forward two steps back thing that goes on in this is wrong, the fact that a SMART individual can receive so much in your face introspective in the form of dreams or criptic messages and not learn is WRONG it feels more than wrong... Maybe that's the point and it's genius who knows and my impassioned review is a good point...

Perhaps it's just a pet peeve I've developed, or something, but, isn't there a way to show character depth other than "I have a huge family boner, and that's the limit of my depth" Like I get it family is important, but do you have to remind the reader of this every moment you can? Also what is with this warped view of his relationships with what is let's face it children who are in fact HIS AGE this is getting stupid, he IS a CHILD, he is 11-12 and really asking if it's ok to show love and emotion to someone his own age? I get that he is much older in his head, but he isn't, he is a child, a child! Please stop making it seem wrong, there is no reason to make it seem wrong... meh other than that it's a good book, he seems reasonably strong to me considering the fact that he is essentially an adult in a child's body so he has years of experience beyond his years.
